The difference 4 yards makes is negligible at best. And given there was only 6 seconds left, it was flat out the wrong decision to make in that situation. I'm honestly stunned to see anyone disagreeing with this. If there was still 10 seconds left on the clock, sure. But 6 seconds is just not...
Exactly, that is the point I'm trying to make here.
It's not that I want to attempt a 55 yard FG. It's that with only 6 seconds, doing anything else is just kinda crazy.
55 is a lot to ask but you have to at least give him the opportunity. 6 seconds isn't even enough time to get more than like 5 yards. And how much of a difference is 5 yards going to make? Earlier he absolutely drilled a 40 yarder, the ball went through at the top of the uprights. I mean...
He crumbles in the biggest moments of the biggest games. It keeps happening and he doesn't seem to be learning or applying the lessons correctly.
Just the end of this game alone:
-Didn't call timeouts before the 2 minute warning, literally just throwing away time
-Never runs the ball after...
I also just realized, on that final play, we could have attempted a 55 yard FG. Instead we decided to run a play to try to get closer with only 6 seconds on the clock.
That's fucking lunacy.
The more I think about what happened at the end of this game, the more my faith in Day dwindles. That...
Man, lot to unpack from this one.
The defense...woof. That was the worst defensive performance in years. They just flat out got their asses beat. The DL did absolutely nothing the entire game. Denzel Burke had the worst game of his career (and he's had plenty of bad ones, probably the weirdest...
10 wins was laughable. Hell, 9 wins was laughable.
Look at their remaining schedule:
They are going to be underdogs in at least 4 of these games. Frankly I'd be shocked if they won more than 2 games the rest of the way. They are shit and are ridiculously lucky to have the record that they do...
Not even the shock factor of switching to a 30 year old QB was enough for these cheating fucks.
My favorite part was when the announcers mentioned - multiple times - that Donovan Edwards had a season high of...80 yards :slappy:
Yep.
Then you start seeing repetitive language like "failure to monitor" and "failure to cooperate" and I truly don't know how they avoid getting hit with LOIC at this point...
