Is it just me, or does Butler seem to be losing his edge down the stretch here? He just hasn't had the killer edge the past couple of games. I hope he breaks out of the slump.
Defense is active and aggressive, I like it. But we need to really get the ball inside. In the place which is usually painted. I don't like the jumpers, especially when they're so rarely spot-up.
Fairly annoying to see Jamar getting armbarred and not getting the call at home. We're supposed to get those touch fouls called here, right? Sigh, going to be gritty.
Does the arena seem fairly empty and quiet to you guys? It's midterm week, pretty rainy and nobody I know has the free time to...
Oh man, USC's OL which is not their strong suit this coming year by far, against the veteran front seven of Ohio State? A new QB against Jenkins and Washington? Chris Wells like a one-man Greek army decimating Troy?
As Montgomery Burns would say..."Eeeexcellent."
We'll miss ya, big guy. But you've got nothing to return for. You have records, and accolades. It's time to go to the big leagues and carry the banner for Ohio State and lay down the law.
And try to go easy on Derek Anderson or Brady Quinn. Don't do that chest bump sack thing. I'd like whoever...
What I like, and you guys can call me crazy for calling a 2 TD deficit anything but bad, is that we're moving the ball okay. We're moving the ball and our best player is almost a nonfactor in our offense. We're playing defense, and the only thing that's letting LSU score is that we can't get off...
Guys, let's not start complaining about the refs here. It's very suspect, and seems very uncharacteristic of both teams, but the fact is that if the team is playing as well as it can, it shouldn't matter.
The coaches are getting paid for this exact reason. I'll bet they're scheming and...
Heacock won the Broyles, I'm sure he can do it. But after last year's NCG, I'm also hoping Tressel is telling him the same things, you know? :tongue2:
We have Jenkins and Washington at corner, I think they can handle a little man-to-man.
Exactly. As Beanie goes, so do we. That he only has 10 carries in the first half is a bit disappointing. He needs to be most of our offense, IMO. Boeckman is solid, but he's not going to win this game. Saine isn't. Robo isn't. Beanie is - and we need to give him the ball and let him do his thing.
LSU is sold out on interior defense. They're blitzing inside a lot, they're keeping men in the box. I think that reverse was trying to help that a little. But we need to get back to Buckeye Football. A few screens, tosses, and other things to get the linebackers backing up and looking outside...
Apparently the Tigers didn't like getting punched in the mouth.
We just hopefully weathered the storm, we can come back out and put up 24 straight on them in return. Still a whole half and more to go, and we can make some adjustments.
Todd had to let that one go before he really wanted to. He didn't have an open receiver. We were too busy on the interior line to pick up the blitz. Just some of those adjustments that need to be made, but it's also a result of Dorsey being a monster.
