  1. The 2011 "One That Got Away"

So who cares to make a prediction of which 2011 recruit, if any, will be the recruit we wish we would have offered (meaning the recruit did not have an OSU offer, e.g., Walker or DePriest)? My guess is Ray Ball, OT headed to Wisconsin. It is hard not to respect the way Wisconsin churns out...
  2. Stan Drayton (Head Coach, Temple Owls)

And Fickell was not a LB either...
  3. QB Cardale '12 Gauge' Jones (B1G Champion, National Champion)

Interesting final two for a guy who could go pretty much anywhere...
  4. Wide Receivers Coach

Yeup. Why is Luke Fickell a great recruiter? He is young and can relate to the athletes. When you have a team with a father-figure HC it is good to balance that out with some assistants who can play a different role in the recruiting and coaching relationships.
  5. 2011 Projected Starting Line-up

Does Shugarts move to guard? Hall and Norwell could be the best two tackles for the first 5 games of the season.
  6. WR T.Y. (Tyrone) Williams (official thread)

Alright, since folks are raving about T.Y., how do you pronounce his first name. Is it Ty (as in tie) or is it T.Y (as in Tee Y)?
  7. 2011 Linebackers Discussion

See the above post...these days there isn't much of a rotation at LB because we are in a 2 LB set most of the time.
  8. FL RB Keith Byars II (Purdue Signee)

And...the odd thing is I really have not seen much of an evaluation on him yet. He has the name and I do not doubt he is good, but just how good is he?
  9. Andrew Luck (Official Thread)

I think it is a good (though risky) move if Harbaugh is coming back. It is really risky if he is not. Who knows who the next coach will be. He cannot be drafted any higher than he will be this year. He certainly can be drafted lower.
  10. '12 OH DE/LB Ifeadi Odenigbo (Northwestern Signee)

redshirt him and hopefully by his 3rd or 4th year he'll be a mean linebacker!
  11. '12 OH DE/LB Ifeadi Odenigbo (Northwestern Signee)

How are his linebacker skills? If they are good enough he might not need to add any weight...I am assuming the issue is he is pretty raw there?
  12. 2011 Wide Receiver Discussion

Makes it even more disappointing that Carter could not get things straight. We could have really used him.
  13. 2011 Running Backs Discussion

It will certainly be interesting to see if everyone is back come fall camp! That is a crowded stable of talented horses.
  14. DE Solomon Thomas (official thread)

Did it seem like Solomon was getting a lot more playing time toward the end of the season/
  15. SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

Most of those heavily subsidized and protected industries aren't necessarily run like businesses. Part of the reason our universities are great is that they do have to compete with one another on the national and international scene.
  16. 5 players suspended for 5 games in 2011 regular season (Appeal has been denied)

I am not certain but I would think they might have some trouble getting federal loans. Each school has an estimated cost of attendance based on tuition, books, room and board, etc. A student can get a federal loan up to the amount of that estimated cost of attendance. However, if you are...
  17. QB/WR Terrelle Pryor (B1G Freshman of the Year, All B1G, B1G Champion, 2010 Rose Bowl MVP, 2011 Sugar Bowl MVP)

Your point is a good one to a certain degree and I'll be the first to say that I appreciate it when a public figure is honest. However, if a public figure really does not have a filter that person is best off keeping their trap shut if he or she wants to remain a public figure.
  18. Nick Saban (ex-HC Alabama Crimson Tide)

And now Dee Hart commits to Bama. That does not look shady at all... Actually, it looks like Bama did not replace the turf at Hart's high school.
  19. QB/WR Terrelle Pryor (B1G Freshman of the Year, All B1G, B1G Champion, 2010 Rose Bowl MVP, 2011 Sugar Bowl MVP)

From the article: "Kniffin said that while working at Maxton he allowed Pryor to drive his SUV to his hometown in Pennsylvania so that his mother could check it out." Let me know if you can find a dealer who will let you "check out" a car for a weekend and take it on a 400 mile trip...
