  1. Yahoo, Tattoos, and tOSU (1-year bowl ban, 82 scholly limit for 3 years)

Well the Ohio State letter to the NCAA admits that Tress's violation occurred between on April 2, 2010 and January 15, 2011. Thus, the University has already conceded that Tressel committed a violation in April when he received the information "that concerned potential violations of NCAA...
  2. Yahoo, Tattoos, and tOSU (1-year bowl ban, 82 scholly limit for 3 years)

But failing to disclose the players' violations when Tress received the emails was probably a violation on its own. Tress later did not come clean about his knowledge at two different opportunities (September and December 2011). It is not completely analogous to Pearl, but it is closer than I...
  3. Yahoo, Tattoos, and tOSU (1-year bowl ban, 82 scholly limit for 3 years)

At first that is exactly how I saw it, but now I am left wondering. Tress committed an NCAA violation by not disclosing the problem when he found out about it. Then he was less than truthful when he signed the certification and was interviewed by the NCAA in December 2010.
  4. QB Kirk ‘Nightmare On’ Herbstreit (Frosted Quips, False Narratives Clown, Afraid of THE Lunatic Fringe)

Do I believe he (or his family) gets harassed? Yes. Would I move if my family was harassed and my job allowed me to move? Yes.
  5. Yahoo, Tattoos, and tOSU (1-year bowl ban, 82 scholly limit for 3 years)

And he won't explain why he deleted it...
  6. Yahoo, Tattoos, and tOSU (1-year bowl ban, 82 scholly limit for 3 years)

At first blush, it would not make sense to vacate the season because what the players did is no different today than what it was in December.
  7. Yahoo, Tattoos, and tOSU (1-year bowl ban, 82 scholly limit for 3 years)

Agree. This smells more like doubling-down (crossing fingers).
  8. Yahoo, Tattoos, and tOSU (1-year bowl ban, 82 scholly limit for 3 years)

Not only Yahoo has its credibility on the line...so does Dan Wetzel. Even if Yahoo goes the way of the dodo, Wetzel is going to need another job. If he wants a decent job he will need some level of credibility. Lobbing a serious accusation at an otherwise well-regarded coach of a major...
  9. Nick Fairley's Wonderlic Score

Scouts have been saying there is no way McElroy's score would have been calculated at the time it was leaked...
  10. LB Brian Rolle (Official Thread)

Hines measured 6-1, 214 pounds while Rolle is 5-11, 218. Wild.
  11. LB Brian Rolle (Official Thread)

Which is my point...Rolle ran at the combine so the scouts have his time and they can compare it relative to all the other combine times. If he turns around and runs a 4.5 I doubt it will make a difference because scouts know the track is faster.
  12. LB Brian Rolle (Official Thread)

It seems to me that when the track is known as "fast" teams are probably smart enough to take that into consideration.
  13. '12 OH DE/LB Ifeadi Odenigbo (Northwestern Signee)

Nigerian immigrant parents...hmmm, is it safe to say that he has southern speed?
  14. '12 MN OL Nick Davidson (Stanford Verbal)

It could be the other way around...
  15. '13 KY QB Kyle Bolin (Louisville Verbal)

Not sure there are too many coaches out there that would not find a qb with a great arm, pin-point accuracy and great mobility to be ideal :)
  16. The 2011 "One That Got Away"

Teague is certainly an interesting one...I could really see him excelling in the Big East. I suppose the tricky part of my question is that his skill-set has to translate to the Big 10 (where are players are a little bigger and player tougher defense).
  17. The 2011 "One That Got Away"

I am not talking about players who had the opportunity to go here but went somewhere else. Our staff does an incredible job in-state, with both the "sure-fire" recruits and the diamonds in the rough. Sometimes they miss; no one is perfect after all. We have had great linebackers, but I...
