  1. 2009 Polls - Regular and Pre-Season

Yeah I haven't paid attention to the polls once this season actually, since the USC game. But for anyone wondering why we might not be getting much respect, it's almost certainly highly related to USC's loss.
  2. Jim Tressel (National Champion, ex-President, Youngstown State University, CFB HOF)

Tressel's seen him in practice a heck of a lot more than we have.. He knows his capabilities more than we do. Anyway... maybe we could have done more earlier. Personally I was hoping we were going to do a bootleg or something, getting Pryor outside while still playing off of the run. But I'm...
  3. Jim Tressel (National Champion, ex-President, Youngstown State University, CFB HOF)

My opinion for both teams pre-game was this: Playing as conservatively as possible will give (both) teams the best chance of winning. Why? Both offenses are not that good. No offense to our offense. It's OK. It's improving. But it is not that good. Iowa's offense is similar. Both defenses are...
  4. Jim Tressel (National Champion, ex-President, Youngstown State University, CFB HOF)

As Michigan week is upon us, I feel it is time to reflect just a little bit upon why we love Jim Tressel so much. This Buckeyes team is a good one. We have talent galore. We have two losses, but we are a very good team. This Michigan team is outright awful. One of the worst they've had in...
  5. 2009 TSUN News (football only discussion)

Maybe I'm totally off-base, but isn't 10 hours/week a standard amount for watching film? I thought most QB's watched a few hours a day at least.
  6. QB/WR Terrelle Pryor (B1G Freshman of the Year, All B1G, B1G Champion, 2010 Rose Bowl MVP, 2011 Sugar Bowl MVP)

Yet another great performance by Pryor. 14/17, checked down his reads, gave the ball to RB's/TE's in the flat more than once for what must have been his last option. Ran with determination. Very, very vanilla offense, making it easy for Pryor. But last year, the offense was just as vanilla...
  7. Oklahoma State 24, Texas Tech 17 (final)

Me too. Reminded me of Katzenmoyer's hit on Corby Jones, just the way he came out of nowhere and blasted him. I hope they're both OK.
  8. Charlie Weis (ex-Kansas HC, ex-Fla OC, Notre Dame legend, UnDecided Schematic Advantage)

He actually might be the worst coach in FBS football, or whatever it's called. No coach has done less with that much. None. He is literally incapable of beating a team unless he has a ridiculous talent advantage, and then it's a toss-up.
  9. Ariz St +17.5 at Oregon (ov/un 48.5)

Oh I see.. Do you think he'll get heisman consideration next year? He's electric. ...As is their quarterback, what a throw! Oregon's offense is flat out scary when they are in rhythm.
  10. Ariz St +17.5 at Oregon (ov/un 48.5)

Yeah.. why wasn't he starting against Boise? Did they just not realize what they had in him?
  11. 2009 TSUN arguments, shenanigans (not football)

    So you're saying it's Ty Willingham's fault?
  12. Ariz St +17.5 at Oregon (ov/un 48.5)

Yep, the camera man is always confused  and so am I. I would really like to see JT go over to Oregon and talk to their coaches, compare notes etc like coaches typically do. I don't want us to run Oregon's offense, but it would be really valuable if TP could do ball fakes like Oregon's QBs...
  13. Pittsburgh 27, Notre Dame 22 (final)

I personally think it would be hilarious if they fired Weis, courted Kelly, and then got turned down by him.
  14. Ariz St +17.5 at Oregon (ov/un 48.5)

James with a 51 yard run. Looked like he probably stepped out of bounds at one point, but they snapped the next play within seconds, so no review (smart by Oregon). He's an amazing athlete, and I love watching Oregon's offense when they're rolling. Hopefully they aren't when we play them in...
  15. Game Thread Ohio State 27, Iowa 24 (final, OT, 11/14/09) - Rose Bowl bound!!!

You know, I think this is the first time our coaching staff has been accused of playing to lose... :D
  16. Game Thread Ohio State 27, Iowa 24 (final, OT, 11/14/09) - Rose Bowl bound!!!

I'm not sure those were on the O-line, seemed like boom coulda gotten a few more (especially on the first run) by running a little more determined north-south.. he was dancing a bit... Second one was on the O-line more though.
  17. Game Thread Ohio State 27, Iowa 24 (final, OT, 11/14/09) - Rose Bowl bound!!!

Luckily for us, they are thinking the exact same thing.
  18. Cincinnati 24, West Virginia 21 (final)

This game should be interesting.. If I'm Cinci, I'm really scared of Pitt, making this a potential look-ahead game. But that could be problematic if they let Devine run free. They'll have to play careful offense, because turnovers could very well decide this game.
  19. Going up to Ann Arbor this weekend... Advice?

So, unfortunately, I have a conference this weekend, in Ann Arbor. Also unfortunately, apparently 'business casual' does not include Terrelle Pryor or Justin Boren jerseys. Also, I'll be in Detroit during their gametime. So, 3 questions 1: How do I maximize my ability to enjoy their loss to...
