Unless the NCAA is concerned about the blowback from other programs and the media for a soft penalty, and they want to get ahead of it. Let's be honest, this very well may open up the flood gates, and they just slammed a few other cooperative programs.
A light punishment would be a very bad...
Scum may have a inkling through their counsel, because usually the attorney's are kind of tapped in. So if it is just a slap, I wouldn't be surprised, but pissed.
One thing that makes me think a light sentence is nonsense, are recent punishments against other programs have been pretty harsh, and Cryin Sherrone is on his second infraction.
If Scum gets off, then no program should ever take responsibility for any alleged infraction because duking it out...
I think you misunderstand what I was saying. I was not saying that I think that Scum will skate, or should skate on what they did. Quite the opposite. I hope they fry.
My point is there is due process with this, and there is a deciding tribunal, the COI, which is made up of different people...
What is the function of the Committee on Infractions then?
It is not run like a traditional court trial, yes, but there is a final arbiter, because there is an appealable decision. Somebody listens to both sides and makes a ruling.
I hope they get booty slammed, however, Scum not taking the purported punishment earlier may mean that the NCAA just plain failed to prove the merits of their case at the hearing, and this is just something to make it go away.
That is the only way it makes sense.
If the reports of there being a light punishment for TTUN, it is just one more indication that the NCAA is running on fumes and there is increasingly less of a fuel source that will keep it moving.
When the SEC announced that they were exploring leaving the NCAA, my gut thought that that news...
Looks like a great addition. I Wiki'd him out of curiosity. Apparently he was a DC at the South Dakota School of Mines. I learned today that there is a South Dakota School of Mines and they do have a football team. Lol
Scum has to do this dance every time to satisfy their mentally challenged fan base, who just can't seem to accept the fact that they have been wrong all along, and that they are alone with this.
