I think you misunderstand what I was saying. I was not saying that I think that Scum will skate, or should skate on what they did. Quite the opposite. I hope they fry. My point is there is due process with this, and there is a deciding tribunal, the COI, which is made up of different people...

What is the function of the Committee on Infractions then? It is not run like a traditional court trial, yes, but there is a final arbiter, because there is an appealable decision. Somebody listens to both sides and makes a ruling.

I hope they get booty slammed, however, Scum not taking the purported punishment earlier may mean that the NCAA just plain failed to prove the merits of their case at the hearing, and this is just something to make it go away. That is the only way it makes sense.
