    2026 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Guess the 'money talks, bull**** walks' aspect is still paramount. Wonder if the NFL pros look at these NIL newbies with a harsher attitude than they used to when the inflated starting salaries come in, topping what these veterans make? These newbies have their Lambos before they receive their...

    Higher Ed. firings and resignations

What's interesting about the above comment is that indeed, most companies have the in-house expertise to solve the problem. Unfortunately, 'those in power', want an 'expert' to come in, recommend a path, and then exit the relationship. Fewer have the consultant stick around for the...

2026 NC CB Samari Matthews (Texas Verbal)

Yeah, see in a prior post that he's 6 foot even. Then after he committed to Texas, he's now listed as 6'1". Guess committing to the 'Horns made him 'bigger in Texas' than was previously.

    2022 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Do believe that the 2022 class was littered with talent. As noted, those that stay are in the hunt for starting positions. tOSU stunted the normal progression of these kids by opening up the coffers to keep many of the players ahead of them (and won a natty), causing these guys to want to see...

QB Kenny "the old righty" Guiton (WR Coach Wisconsin)

Here's hoping that the Buckeye intelligencia isn't losing track of this guy. Mayhaps that Hartline takes his OC seriously, and 'gives' up (the way Day 'gives' up QBs) directly coaching WRs, and we bring Kenny back into the fold. Might split time between WRs and QBs?

    2027 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

If the goat-ropers can shell out $5.1 mil for an OT, just think what the QB could get! Guess TT believes they can surge to top of the B12. Lubbock isn't too awfully far from the oil fields of West Texas, so just gotta open the spigot a little more to pump some Texas Tea. Somewhere in the deep...

    2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, was in the business world. Learned (most likely the hard way), that in order to expect success, one must give their staff the tools to complete their tasks to the highest and best quality possible. If that's a given, then is Diebs being given the...

LGHL Burning Questions: Did Ohio State men’s basketball do enough in the transfer portal?

My crystal ball is a bit cloudy, and my 8-ball says "we'll see". Diebs certainly looks like he's filled some positions with some bodies, but whether these guys can hang with the big boys remains to be seen. Sounds to me that tOSU wasn't willing to open the NIL purse for some blue bloods, given...

    WNBA

Have been watching (mostly Fever) games, and see these great players, mostly unknown (to me at least). Read that over 60% were AA in college, but unless were in B10, don't know where they came from. And announcers, sometimes mention where they're from, which is a head nodder - Oh yeah...

2026 GA CB Dorian Barney (Alabama Decommit, ttun Verbal)

Good question about bailing...maybe they stick if the NIL cash sticks? Post season ban, maybe, but good showing in regular season will still pique the pro recruiters. Maybe not get a ring, but save their bodies from an additional 4-12 (over 3 seasons) games? If NIL donations dry up, methinks...

    tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Had a HS golfer, back in the day, that won more matches with his rulebook than he did with his sticks. Point being, that taking things to the edge seems to be the new normal. Give you last year's Oregon loss....always said I'll take the white and the gray, but won't venture into the black...

    Chicago Recommendations?

Midwest has some outstanding ethnic areas, where immigrants settled to, would guess, be around countrymen, while learning English etc. Not certain when started, but some of the ethnic restaurants became beacons to foodies, gathering there to sample another cruisine. Am speaking from when grew...

    Chicago Recommendations?

It's been three years since our kid was living in Chicago, and did take them to see the Cubbies play (Cincy actually). Food was very good, and appeared (to me at least), that about 1/3 of the fans were downstairs, eating, drinking, and waiting in lines to do same. Beautiful day, Baby Bear type...

2026 TX OL Felix Ojo (Texas Tech Verbal)

Well, if the Buckeyes don't 'bag' him, then at least that takes Ojo off the board for Texas. The slow feet for a LOT bothers me. PS, what is his arm length? Has he got alligator arms, or long ones? That's the question!

    2026 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

It appears that I haven't been 'keeping up'. Past NIL contracts (withoutside groups), have included clauses that say "NIL can be terminated at anytime by the issuing agency", or somesuch. Clearly on the side of the issuing agency, no? But with the recent legal case between Wiscy and the kid...
