    2025 tOSU Defense Discussion

Looking at the picture of Sonny and Arvell, it appears to me that 6'4" isn't quite simply the same between the two. And no way, does Sonny outweigh Arvell by more than several pounds. Maybe it's a trick of the camera? Or I need my eyeglass prescription updated?

    2025 tOSU Offense Discussion

Ahhh, love it. Bulletin board material. Of course, these writers are puffing up their respective schools, naturally. Well, shows that tOSU simply cannot take them all......

2025 Fall Camp and Other Tidbits

Watched the B10 show at tOSU for spring practice last evening. Saw the usual platitudes from Dinardo etc, and watched Jake Butts, he of Pickerington and Xichigan fame (?). Impressed by the young man, as he threw out some positive things about the Buckeyes, and not once did he toss any grenades...

2026 OH OL Sam Greer is a Buckeye!!!

And I see none of the Columbus City League schools listed - again. Used to have some creditable schools, guess the HS talent fled to places like Pickerington. And now I guess Powell (used to be a stop sign on 315). Watterson (and DeSales) were 'buying' players back in the 60's, and from the...

Game Thread #1 Texas at #2/#3 tOSU, Sat. Aug. 30th, 12pm ET, FOX

If the OL holds, the QB makes the throws, and WRs make the catches, hang onto the ball, and get to the endzone more often than the opposition does, tOSU will win the game. Pretty standard. We'll see how the pieces play out during the game. Texas lost some talent as well, so they're in the...

Texas Tech Red Raiders (official thread)

When moved to Texas from California, looked at map, and decided I'd turn right at Lubbock (on way to Dallas), instead of going straight, and then down from Oklahoma. OK, left the freeway, and just outside of Lubbock, saw the biggest TV dish in a front yard, and then saw the lights from TV...

Back in the Day, SF days, would save uneaten Dungeness crab in the refrig. Low and behold, the odor next day was unmistakably bad. Immediately had it in an omelet, and tossed the shells. Never made that mistake again. Fish, crab, and even chicken bones, shells, carcasses immediately get...

You bring back memories.....when we were courting, wife would come along with me on the golf course. Fun, and of course, had to try to hit some shots to impress my wife-to-be. As soon as the "I do's" finished up, so did the ride-alongs. Other than dinners and/or Friday evening imbibements...

Just a thought for you erstwhile chefs, consider buying a cheap, plastic ice cube tray. When you're saving your stocks, put it in the tray and then freeze. When you need some, just pop out appropriate number of 'stock-cubes' for your dish. Saves on thawing and refreezing. Buy fish stock, as...

Well, when one is young and inexperienced, the bar circuit can be fun. Revisiting, when experiences have risen, can be a downer. Had our 50th HS reunion, and Friday night was at the VC back patio. Yeah, not as exciting as was back when, but most of us were remembering the back whens...

2026 CA DB Davon Benjamin Jr. (Oregon Verbal)

And last year's 'get' of Offord (flip from Buckeyes), and the other CB who was highly touted, Oregon is stacking up cordwood left and right, plus plugging the holes with some excellent players from the portal (he who has the gold makes the rules). Will be a force to be reckoned with certainly...

Game Thread #1 Texas at #2/#3 tOSU, Sat. Aug. 30th, 12pm ET, FOX

Not a fan of such momentous games right out of the box. Players are still finding their ways, OL needs to gel, etc. But might be the best time to catch Texas, no? Both teams appear to be 'younger', as both teams had a bunch of players move on to NFL. Both are talented, clearly, and both...

Game Thread #1 Texas at #2/#3 tOSU, Sat. Aug. 30th, 12pm ET, FOX

Hopefully can put a couple of scores up early, which follows the championship run formula- see Tennessee, Oregon, Notre Dame. Put Texas on their heels, forcing them to throw deep and often, and let our 'center fielders' make some plays. tOSU could possibly have the deepest DBs in the nation...
