Chip Kelly (OC Las Vegas Raiders)

Call me crazy….didn’t like Chip’s playcalling most of year. Glad they came outta their shell in post-season but thought regular season playcalling was pretty average to bad….. JMO

    DT Tywone Malone (National Champion)

Not a knock on McDonald but I just do not see him as (3) down DT….he’s great at what he does, but at his size and mobility, I don’t see him getting the same snap count as Tylik Williams or Hamilton last year. He’s incredibly productive when on field, I just think he’s going to need more...

QB Aaron Rodgers (Super Bowl XLV MVP, Asinine Conspiracy Theories MVP)

I agree with that for most part….but I think A-rod would take less to be in a good spot. The issue is, just like KC gets every call, the NFL loves fucking A-rod at every turn. He’ll never be successful after he took a stand for players who didn’t want the vaccine…

QB Aaron Rodgers (Super Bowl XLV MVP, Asinine Conspiracy Theories MVP)

Actually think he has good football left in him but he’ll never be successful in NFL game with how he dropped a nuke in how the NFL treated its players…..they hate him for it. While I think he still has high level talent, the target on his back just isn’t worth it.

    2025 NFL Draft Record

Please let me know if I’m somehow missing a player….i don’t think so, but it’s possible if there’s a guy I simply overlooked. 17 draft picks would be freakish and I think a safe record for many years to come.

    2025 NFL Draft Record

Wanted to start a thread (if it needs to be moved, I take no offense). OSU is guaranteed to break the record at (16) selections. I believe they end up with (17). My breakdown below. Note, this list is NOT a prediction in order of how they’ll be taken. 1. Jack Sawyer 2. Emeka 3. JTT 4. J...

    Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

I think rational people see why taking a QB is worthless this year….the problem is Andrew Berry is in “win now” mode after the disastrous DeShaun Watson trade. He needs a “Hail Mary” to save his job and that means swinging for the fences when they should look to just accumulate as much...

Chip Kelly (OC Las Vegas Raiders)

While we can't predict what will happen after the 2025-2026 season, I think a very solid blue-print has been left for whoever the next DC is.....Assuming Caleb Downs stays healthy, you just continue to build on what they did down the stretch, which is confuse the hell out of QB's and offenses by...

    Ohio State AD's $38M Deficit

I disagree to an extent.....it's better to operate at a deficit in this scenario.......if there's a surplus, it's often expected, and therefore there can be a reduction in spend. Not much different than our federal gov't.... And exactly how they operated at Texas A&M while fundraising for...

DT Hero Kanu (National Champion, transfer to Texas)

It's too bad because they're gonna need depth behind Kayden McDonald. Kayden is a 1st and second down DT, that will come off on 3rd down. Hero likely had a big roll in next years rotation. Too bad he won't see it play out.....

    Jim Knowles (DC Penn St.)

This is what I was referencing in 2025 defense thread. The coverage sacks were a direct correlation to how we utilized Caleb Downs. The QB’s had to read Downs immediately for clue #1. Then they’d have to come off Downs, and read the CB’s/Ransom for clue #2. By the time they could process...

    2025 tOSU Offense Discussion

There was definitely a lot at play, and lot's of tinkering. It may be that Hinzman is more effective in gap than McLaughlin as well. Gap schemes are tough enough on pulling centers, that when you add in the issues he had at Center at Bama, it makes sense we ran zone primarily with him. It's...

    2025 tOSU Offense Discussion

I believe the Gap blocking was primarily successful because Ohio State decided to open most games with the pass to open the run. And it was usually very efficient passes (things around the LOS that could bust for huge plays). Once defenses were put on their heels, the gap runs become more...

    2025 tOSU Defense Discussion

I think the biggest thing in 2025 is to build off the success of Caleb Downs in his hybrid role as safety/blitzing LB. Nick Saban called it out prior to the TN game, and then it was a joy to watch throughout the following playoff games. QB's have to process (1) of (3) potential...

    CB Davison Igbinosun (National Champion)

Seems odd to me….Matthews is a guaranteed starter with Hancock and Burke to the NFL. Not sure why Iggy’s decision impacts him at all unless it’s a personal issue…? Strange to me….not sure I buy that.

    HC Ryan Day (National Champion)

I was really harsh on Day post Oregon, Nebraska, and then Michigan. I really HATED the mind-set the team seemed to be playing with….a “4 quarter mentality where they win games late”…..It literally drove me crazy, with all the talent on this team (they’re going to shatter the NFL draft pick...

TE Gee Scott Jr. (National Champion)

I disagree with that statement….kid slowed down to set up best course of action forward….if he catches it in stride straight for sideline, he gets chopped down, IMO. Was smart for him to catch ball, and then make a move to scrap for yardage. In any event, it was a critical play to get us to...

TE Gee Scott Jr. (National Champion)

Will Howard doesn’t have 4th and 2 without Gee fighting for 4-5 extra yards on a check down. Gee has made himself a lotta money in the playoffs (like so many other Buckeyes). Kid has been balling. Deserves a shout-out

LB Cody Sim0n (2025 Rose Bowl and Title Game Def MVP, National Champion, Arizona Cardinals)

It’s interesting bc both Bill Norton and Archie Manning were concussed for Texas. Norton came back in, Archie didn’t. I’ll be honest….i think Archie gets called into game on 1st and goal to utilize his legs….but in a moment of class for your athlete, I think he was effectively “out” of the...

    DT Kayden McDonald (National Champion)

Needs some love for the 1st and goal absolute stuff against Texas. He moved the OC and guard 1.5 yards backwards. On second down, he was partially responsible for Caleb Downs shooting through the gap. Kid is amazing at being an anchor on the goal line. Will be fun to see him get more reps as...
