2025 Texas at tOSU BMW Thread

I like that, too. You know what I like more? I like OSU -100 better. I mean, I wouldn't take that bet, but I LIKE it.

Sports 'journalists' (Who Don't Work For ESPN)

I don't know who he is. Every once in a while, Youtube suggests I watch one of his videos. I think I watched one, once, and decided I didn't care about what he was saying. Maybe I'd like him if I gave him a chance. But I don't really care to try to like him, I guess.

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA: no wins taken away, no postseason ban

I like it. Still, I vote for 0-12. But if we get your dream, that'd be pretty awesome. Even better... this wouldn't happen with the existing system, but imagine beating them in AA, then in Indy, then in Columbus. That'd mean Ohio State is the 5th conference champion, and I don't see that...

When will Auburn claim to have won the civil war?

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA: no wins taken away, no postseason ban

I REALLY want them to go 0-12. But, with this schedule, I can find it funny if they go 9-3 (losing to us, of course), make the playoff, even though their resume isn't as good as another team's, and then get smoked in the first round. Lose to Louisville 52-0.

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA: no wins taken away, no postseason ban

If it is GUARANTEED (magically, maybe?) that your team would win a championship in the next 3 years if you can collectively raise $30 million, how long would it take Ohio State to raise that money? 12 hours? I have a magic way to know exactly what play the other team is going to run. The...

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA: no wins taken away, no postseason ban

I agree. They aren't going to penalize Harbaugh for this. I think they suspended Pryor because he left for the NFL after the draft was over, and the NFL had a supplemental draft just for him. I think the NFL wanted to prevent other players from doing the same thing. They may have said that his...

RB Archie Griffin (All B1G, All-American, 1974 & 1975 Heisman Trophy Winner, CFB HOF)

I never saw him play live. I mean... he won his second Heisman before I was even born. So this question is for you older guys who lived through those days. But I remember when Tebow won it in about 2008, as a sophomore, and the next couple of years, people (doofuses on TV) said that he shouldn't...

Auburn Football (Paying Players Before NIL + Scientology)

Can we claim 2012, yet? Penn State wants to claim 2005.

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA: no wins taken away, no postseason ban

I agree with what he says, but any punishment on the team does not punish the current players, because they are free to transfer out. Maybe not free to transfer at any minute. But they're free in certain windows. And I think a major punishment like that would have opened one of those windows...

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA: no wins taken away, no postseason ban

On one hand, I don't wish any injury on anyone. On the other hand, he chose to play for the cheaters. If he wanted me to root for him, he should have chosen anywhere else. Anywhere else. Anywhere.

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA: no wins taken away, no postseason ban

This is what pisses me off about last year. We were a national championship contender. I mean, yeah, we won the whole damn thing, but in November we were just contenders. And we lost to that team? I'm not sure they weren't cheating for this game. Which brings me to another point. I know it seems...

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA: no wins taken away, no postseason ban

And why not have any games vacated? Or championships? If the baseball guys on steroids ever get into the HOF, it may be the same thing - for a long time, except for the fans of the cheaters, anyone who sees that the cheaters are listed as the 2023 champions will just laugh about it.

    Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

I like how they had this innovative idea to have an extra offensive lineman line up outside, and run in motion to the middle. Snap the ball just as he gets there and he's got some momentum to really knock someone over... right? I don't think he blocked anyone in any of those three plays. My...

Since we're cherry-picking data, let's look at Georgia: Marshall Austin Peay Charlotte Georgia Tech Is GA Tech any good? I don't know. How about Tennessee: Syracuse (meh) East Tennessee State (ha) UAB NM State Who else made it to the playoffs last year? Texas? Meh - I think they have a good...

    2025 Polls

Maybe I don't quite understand "bluebloods", but what is Texas doing on the list? Outside of 2005-2009, have they done anything? Or Tennessee? 1998? What else? I thought Miami died more than 20 years ago. Florida State won it all in 2013, and were in the championship game in 1998, 1999, and 2000.

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA: no wins taken away, no postseason ban

Who are "they"? The cheaters? Maybe they want to pull ratings from people talking about Ohio State beating Texas. Announce this after the first week. That'd be funny because it'd pull ratings away from people talking about *ichigan vs. Oklahoma. Maybe they want to wait until after their game so...
