He was 0 for 8 against the blitz, until his last completion at the end, and I think the Boomers were blitzing on that play. So 1 for 9 - word to the wise!
"Florida, look at that schedule - it's one of the toughest in the nation."
"Oklahoma's schedule, my goodness, it's one of the toughest.."
STFU. Sec's heyday is a thing of the past, and it was always overrated top to bottom.
Scum's safety, #15, got juked ny Mateer to defend behind the clusterf---, instead of being the only defender there to plug the big hole Mateer ran through for the td. Nice D, lol.
Cheaters vs. sloppy incompetents.
Turmoil among the cheaters. Underwood taking out, on his teammates, his frustrations for not having the ability to throw the ball anywhere near his receivers.
Ell's avg is okay, but he is the last guy I want to see in the batter's box in those situations. I'd rather see Andrew Abbott up there with a bat in his hands.
Without Elly the Reds could well have matched Toronto's 12 and 13 runs in those two games. They could have gone up like 7 or 8-0, not...
Loaded the bases twice that I know of, predictably zero runs. Can't count on a single one of them to come through when needed.
Bunch of losers. Arms spaghetti. Don't know why almost every nervous loser in the major league happens to be on the Reds. It's a head problem, and I don't think these...
Welp now we know where all the right-handed power hitters that should be playing for the reds are (we could use just 1... actually 2). They are on the BJ's.
Didn't any pitcher in the minors that Sal faced ever try throwing him a low and outside breaking ball?
Next time they have 2 outs, need to keep a rally going and it's Elly's turn in the lineup, pinch hit for him! You *know* he'll just strike out, swinging at ball four in the dirt, and let that pitcher off the hook. They had that f'ing guy on the ropes. Thanks again Elly.
Nice to see Sanmartin return. Kept the ball low, only one or two mistakes. Reminded me of Garrett back when he was effective.
Man, we call on Elly to keep the rally going and maybe tie it. Ugh.
This low-scoring game reminds me of a Miami-FSU game that was played on Labor Day, before which Bobby Bowden complained that it's too hard to get a new team ready to play another elite team on the first weekend. It was a defensive battle, much like this game, and the final score was I think...
I had forgotten his name until reading that, but I remember when it was said, after a pass attempt, that he complained to the ref that he was punched in the mouth by a Buckeyes rusher, no flag. The ref was said to have replied. "That's football, son." Don't know how much of that is true...
