  1. Sparty +9.5 at tOSU (ov/un 127.5) Sat 6 ET, ESPN

gotta say, nice block by ravenel. Then... what's craft doing firing up a 20 foot TWO POINTER??? This game is still winnable. Need a run, that's all.:grr:
  2. Sparty +9.5 at tOSU (ov/un 127.5) Sat 6 ET, ESPN

we need witherspoon and Amir. (please not ravenel although I like the guy).:(
  3. Sparty +9.5 at tOSU (ov/un 127.5) Sat 6 ET, ESPN

You know, I loved Jim Tressel. But it was so aggggggravating to watch the offense sometimes. Matta's refusal to substitute is so blind. Buford is choking, Thomas can't defend, Lenzelle is too short for the package Izzo is giving us, and we have some players on the bench (Witherspoon...
  4. Sparty +9.5 at tOSU (ov/un 127.5) Sat 6 ET, ESPN

Well if we know our coach, we know that the team will be watching the Purdue game over and over. Matta likes coaching against really good coaches (see Duke game earlier this year). I think this will be a great game. If both teams are on, the home court might just be the difference. It's...
  5. Purdue +14.5 at tOSU (ov/un 131.5) Tue 9 ET, ESPN

I'm looking for the silver lining.... not much there. But I was proud to see Sulinger not lose his cool. I mean he got a nut sack pita in his face on that dunk, and Byrd takes him down by his head like Ndomgkon Suh, and on the one blocking foul he got called for the dude popped into him like...
  6. Purdue +14.5 at tOSU (ov/un 131.5) Tue 9 ET, ESPN

our offense is okay. 40 points? That's cool. but givin' up 40? Disappointing. At home. wow. one more half to show that you deserve it.
  7. Purdue +14.5 at tOSU (ov/un 131.5) Tue 9 ET, ESPN

that inbounds play with 2.7 seconds SUCKED Jent, what did you draw up? 2.7 seconds is plenty of time to get a couple dribbles and get off a decent shot. dude.
  8. Purdue +14.5 at tOSU (ov/un 131.5) Tue 9 ET, ESPN

hopefully that nut pita that Sullinger got in the face will stoke the fires. Holy Beejus man up!!!
  9. Purdue +14.5 at tOSU (ov/un 131.5) Tue 9 ET, ESPN

someone should tell Thomas he's being dissed by the TV crew. defend the three, it's their only chance to win this game. Ravenel nice guy but nervous...
  10. PF Jared Sullinger (2x 1st Team ALL B1G & All American, Anyang KGC, S.Korea)

Yeah, I'm not a coach. And I don't see the practices. I'm just not crazy about Ravenel being the first big off the bench. Amir is not ready for prime time but... Let's hope for an entertaining game and no injuries and a 'W'. Go Bucks!
  11. PF Jared Sullinger (2x 1st Team ALL B1G & All American, Anyang KGC, S.Korea)

Yo LitlBuck, pull up the video from Saturday's (Wisconsin) game. Some ugly sequences of Ravenel in there with Sullinger. Now maybe the thought is they're on the road, and Matta thinks Amir or JD would get nervous in front of the hostile crowd. But I would much rather see Amir paired up with...
  12. PF Jared Sullinger (2x 1st Team ALL B1G & All American, Anyang KGC, S.Korea)

Right on, Coqui... I have been thinking lately that Amir has shown he can block without fouling, and I also belive that he is long enough and quick enough to cover a lot of area down low. I think when the Bucks are playing a good three point shooting team, it would be smart to have Amir down...
  13. 2011-2012 Men's Buckeye Basketball (Final Four Season)

    B. Paul going off for 43 was awful. But I think it was probably similar to L Smith Jr going for 28. Paul came in with a 12 point average, shooting 23% on 3-pointers. So he goes 8 for 10 behind the arc, and we kept expecting him to cool off and he never did. To me, the biggest difference in...
  14. Former RB/ST Coach Dick Tressel (official thread)

I apologize for that. Still hot under the collar after watching the Gator Bowl ST play. I was really hoping for 7-6, not 6-7, so I didn't have to hear it at work! I'm sure he is a good coach and will find something meaningful to do somewhere. It's a new world, folks. Go Bucks!
  15. Former RB/ST Coach Dick Tressel (official thread)

I just don't understand how our Special Teams went from being a strength to a weakness. Ever since Teddy G got hurt in the NCG it seems to have gone backwards, and the differential in TDs scored vs TDs given up is in the opponents favor.
  16. Former RB/ST Coach Dick Tressel (official thread)

I'm glad he's done coaching special teams! That was embarassing! Note: if no other programs are asking about him, maybe he's not that good??
  17. SF/PF J.D. Weatherspoon (transfer to Toledo)

Great Game last night, JD. Nice to hear Coach Matta giving you props, too, for your energy. Sully and JD could be like Herb Williams and Jim Smith. Now that's going back a few years but the comparison is not bad. I hope we continue to see JD get more minutes. More minutes = more confidence.
  18. 2011 Quarterbacks Discussion

dang, I just heard that Taylor Graham transferred. I would have liked to seen him get a shot. I don't know if he sucked, or what, I just hope it won't be like Ryan Mallett, leaving Michigan, and doing well somewhere else. Anybody know where he is going?? Best of luck, Mr. Graham.
  19. Yahoo, Tattoos, and tOSU (1-year bowl ban, 82 scholly limit for 3 years)

Once the bowl game is out of the way, then the Urban Meyer era can truly begin. One possible 'positive' aspect of the bowl ban next year. Some raw freshmen who could benefit from a redshirt year may decide to redshirt, since they won't be giving up a trip to Arizona or New Orleans... This...
