I get it, you don't like Michigan. I lived through the 80s and 90s too. We've been on completely different levels competiting for entirely different things since then. Ohio State is looking for the next kids who can win a title. Michigan is looking for the next kids who can win a division...

That's the great thing about being Ohio State ... When you're competing against the nations elite, Michigan becomes nothing more than a speed bump. If you cant out recruit us nationally ... you 'aint out recruiting us in conference. We've put the petal to the metal and never looked back.

Nope ... and that's actually scary. Bama and Ohio State have twice as many Top 100 recruits on their roster as Clemson. They've overachieved with less, and now that they are getting more? They're a legit contender to be the next great program everyone is chasing.

For the record, I never said that. Ohio State has only itself to blame. My point was about the amount of talent at Ohio State and how it's never perceived to be on the same level as say Alabama, even though it's the closest program TO Bama there is ... by any recruiting metric.

If that's a reason ... that's even worse. That's using an entire different team's result and applying it to a different team in a different year.

So you honestly believe SEC Champ Bama gets left out of the play off if they have only a blow out loss against Vandy? Yeah ... we aren't going to agree on that one. I'd be willing to bet anything on it. Easiest money of my life .... it would be seen as a fluke loss, 100000%

To be fair ... the kid was in grade school when all that went down. Doubt anything bad was meant by it.

Alabama literally has as many conference and OOC losses as Ohio State since Meyer took over the program ... They are comparable in just about every way outside of getting the benefit of the doubt when it comes to playoff selection. "Blowout loss" really wasn't a deciding factor until last year...

We really haven't been competing with Michigan since Tressel came on scene ... We got bigger fish to fry in the playoff era. I do find it funny how the national media always picks Alabama in the SEC based on "talent" yet tries to find every reason in the book not to pick Ohio State in the B1G...

The more I look at Rivals ratings, the more I scratch my head. They have Fryar as a Top 5 center .... 3 stars BTW. Like .... wut? lol That's like putting a 10 win P5 team out of the Top 25.

Agreed. Just found it confusing that Rivals wouldn't even have a state or position ranking on him, as if they haven't even evaluated him or something.

Not that it matters, since the coaches obviously love what they see and that's alway good enough for me but ... Anyone know why there's a large gap between his rating on 247 vs Rivals? He's the 3rd best TE in the country on 247 while he's not even ranked by state or position on Rivals. Does...
