It's a good question and one I pointed out on another board. I couldn't understand how Alabama has recruited 18 more players than anyone else over the past 4 years given the rules.
That's an entire recruiting class. Early Eligibility, Processing, and Medical was essentially the answers given...
BTW. They were talking about a hard cap at 25 for the year on Morning Five today.
I figured we might go over 25 given the amount of talent still on the board, plus the grey shirt of our kicker.
Anyone else hearing that we're going to hard cap at 25 recruits this class?
It was a good listen and refreshing to hear a level headed father not living vicariously through their son to the point that it becomes an obstacle for the recruit themselves.
Washington finally offers the kid and now some of their sites think they have a legit shot at flipping him.
I know nothing is official until you get the signature but they might want to convince Scott Jr to stop recruiting for the Buckeyes. :slappy:
And all I'm saying is not all of those "legendary players" were 5* "can't miss" prospects that guranteed Clemson success simply by putting them on the field.
I care not to pretend that Clemson has more talent than teams like Alabama and Ohio State because I know it's not true ..... yet.
I'm not sure the point being made. Obviously if you take away their talent, they are no longer as talented.
My point is that Clemson has done well with the 5* and high 4* guys they've recruited, which is less than other programs have accumulated in the same span.
And now that they are pulling...
Yeah ... that definitely went over my head. lol
Thanks
I hear ESPN would make a documentary about the subject but their too busy sweeping needles and stacks of LSU cash under the rug. But hey, on a positive note ... I hear Pryor is almost done serving his NFL suspension.
The ACC being down didn't stop Clemson from rolling through the playoffs 74-19.
It wasn't just handed to them ... they man handled 2 Top 4 teams in a row.
When it comes to having the "supposed" best recruits on the roster ... they have. They're tied with Texas and FSU ... following LSU, USC, Georgia, Ohio State, and Alabama.
No one with under 20 Top 100 recruits has done what Clemson has, it's impressive. Obviously it doesn't guarantee future...
Just because we recognize the gap between Ohio State and Michigan as programs doesn't mean the team takes the game for granted, or should.
It's not really arrogance, it's the truth ... based on actual results.
The reality is Ohio State is competiting with the nations elite. Bama, Georgia, OU...
Some how I don't think our coaches are going around to recruits and saying "All we care is that you beat Michigan." Just a hunch ;-)
In fact, the APR rankings were released today and Ohio State was in the Top 10.
Imagine that! A football program who is competiting for championships while...
