    tOSU 61, Wisconsin 57 (Final)

Historic choking by Wisconsin's basketball team this season.

11-1 run down the stretch here by OSU. That's Badger basketball all year....outplay your opponent for about 35 minutes and then sit on the lead and choke on the freebies you get.

Growing up in Illinois, I think Turner learned that move from Michael Jordan against Bryon Russell in the '98 NBA finals.

I told you we get dumb with leads.

Don't worry......we'll sit on the lead and let you back in it. It's our M.O.

    Even though I agree. :tibor:

I didn't think that was a foul by Mullens, actually.

I foresaw that response. Difference was I never lauded them for it.

That was not a foul. It was a bad decision by a little guy to shoot from a standstill in the land of trees and he got bailed out by flailing dramatically. He could have won an Oscar.

    Big Ten Power Rankings

It shows your incredible bias pointing out Wisconsin could have lost many of the games you listed. They led the majority of all those games but maybe Iona. They maybe could have but they certainly shouldn't have lost any of those games but maybe Iona. I mean they dominated Va Tech but they...

    Big Ten Power Rankings

Maybe other teams in the league have struggled in close games, but it's all relative. Ken Pomeroy tracks luck factor which measures how good a team's record is compared to their point differential and these are the rankings among Big Ten teams. 1. Michigan St. 2. Penn State 3. Minnesota 4...

    Big Ten Power Rankings

Are people noticing how Wisconsin is losing games? It's unbelievable. They've squandered late 2nd half leads in all but about 3 of their losses this season (@ Purdue, UCONN, and @ Illinois). I mean if they had any semblance of killer instinct they'd have about 5 losses this season and looking...

    Big Ten Power Rankings

Wisconsin has outplayed everybody in the Big Ten head to head this season except for Purdue, yet they might be on the verge of their 7th loss. They should only have 3 losses. They've led most of all but that many games, but they find a way to blow it at the end. Expecting something to go awry...

Ohio State 50, Wisconsin 55 (Final)

The incredibly high field goal percentage for the Buckeyes and turnovers kind of went hand and hand. They were trying to pound it inside and penetrate hard because Wisconsin has a smallish, soft front line. When they could make their move 1-on-1 with the big before the help side defense came...

Kraig Appleton (former WR Wisconsin Badgers)

The Badgers seriously needed to land his services because we had stopped recruiting receivers a while ago because he had given his silent, but then he started wavering. It would have been a mini disaster if he turned on us. Appleton's commitment fused a class together nicely that was...

SG Michael Redd (NBA All Star, Olympic gold medalist)

The Bucks would do it to get rid of Redd's albatross contract without a doubt. Little chance the Cavs would however.

SG Michael Redd (NBA All Star, Olympic gold medalist)

He was a very underrated slasher. Mike was very adept at sealing defenders and using a deft touch off the glass to score. Also, not an athletic or quick guy, but he weaved through traffic pretty fluidly. I have knee injuries and he's not going to be nearly as capable of moving laterally.

SG Michael Redd (NBA All Star, Olympic gold medalist)

The MRI revealed tears in both Redd's ACL and MCL, which will surely sideline him for the season and possibly preclude him from ever being an asset for the Bucks, or another team, ever again. The parallels to Allan Houston are very scary. The Woelfel World of Sports Milwaukee just can't catch...
