Wiscy +3.5 vs Miami (ov/un 57.5) ESPN 12-29 8 ET, Champs Sports Bowl

Pride of Kettering Alter and Big Ten Rookie of the Year. I can't believe Miami's punter got that big of a kick after almost getting it blocked. Another time we were close to ending this thing.

Wiscy +3.5 vs Miami (ov/un 57.5) ESPN 12-29 8 ET, Champs Sports Bowl

We had the game won. Like somebody said in this thread earlier, we always manage to let teams hang around, if not complete the comeback. Nobody can say losing Clay hasn't hurt Wisconsin. Ball has had too many negative plays while Clay is consistently making progress towards moving the chains.

Wiscy +3.5 vs Miami (ov/un 57.5) ESPN 12-29 8 ET, Champs Sports Bowl

And yet we can't convince any decent recruits at the position to come here.....we've had to rely on converting wide receivers and linebackers largely.

Wiscy +3.5 vs Miami (ov/un 57.5) ESPN 12-29 8 ET, Champs Sports Bowl

Tolzien is having a game so far. He didn't exhibit it against OSU, but throughout the year in most games he was very poised in the pocket in spite of frequently having a D-Lineman in his face. His timing, reads, and accuracy; have been excellent. He's the game manager Wisconsin needs with...

Wiscy +3.5 vs Miami (ov/un 57.5) ESPN 12-29 8 ET, Champs Sports Bowl

They've had excellent defensive line play all year, especially on the edge with Schofield and Watt. The front 7 was really getting underrated by fans here going into our match-up this season. The secondary is suspect, but that's not going to matter when whatever QB they're playing isn't poised...

How many penalties have they called on Miami? Wasn't that just offsides there?

You don't think losing the Big 10 POY wouldn't hurt any team? His backup, Montee Ball, has pretty good talent, but he's still a true frosh.

Wiscy +3.5 vs Miami (ov/un 57.5) ESPN 12-29 8 ET, Champs Sports Bowl

But no mention of the fact this is a pseudo road game for Wisconsin, like it usually is for them and everyone else in the Big 11 when they are invited to bowls. It being cool hardly swings in Wisconsin's favor. If they can't handle 50 degrees, then those pussies might as well not even submit...

    2010 In-state Players to Watch

Thanks for the information. However, I think that ___ isn't fast or big enough for ___ school; is too rigid of a philosophy to have. Not that OSU are hurting in general, but everybody wants an edge. Football players are football players. The aforementioned Borland was deemed not big or fast...

    2010 In-state Players to Watch

Any insight about Youngstown Boardman WR Chase Hammonds' abilities? He just committed to Wisconsin. Last time I asked for info about a commit from Ohio here...it was Big 10 Frosh of the Year Chris Borland.

    2009 Big Ten-ACC Challenge

Illinois deserves major props for the resolve they exhibited against a talented Clemson team led by Trevor Booker. They could have easily folded down 20+, especially as a young team on the road. If not for the comeback, we would have been dead already I believe. Illinois is much better than I...

    2009 Big Ten-ACC Challenge

I would have been screaming bloody murder had Duke won because of the heinous errors down the stretch by the referees. There were two violations ignored on that possession. The same Duke player shot the ball in the air and caught it for traveling. Then subsequently a Duke player tapped the...

    Indiana +17.5 at Iowa (ov/un 46.5)

I agree about the sentiment that it was one of many horrible calls against Indiana in this ballgame, but there's no need to drag international football down in the process. If anything, there's too much contact allowed in international football. The games are already too low scoring....imagine...

WC Qual: Costa Rica at USA (Wed, 7:30 ET, ESPN2)

None, it would carry over to the World Cup. That's why it'd be so inadvisable to deploy Altidore in the 2nd half. That card was garbage, but that only reinforces the point. Crappy CONCACAF officials would have too much power over our fate.

WC Qual: Costa Rica at USA (Wed, 7:30 ET, ESPN2)

It's a Central American side......what do you expect. They know full well that it's an unwritten rule to only allow X amount of stoppage time. Really, they should stop the clock once a foul occurs, and that would nip stalling tactics in the bud.

WC Qual: Costa Rica at USA (Wed, 7:30 ET, ESPN2)

Jonathan Bornstein sucks, but I already knew that. At least if Goodson would have played, and sucked, we'd be discovering new information. I just didn't see the upside in playing that guy. We have to do better at left back if we don't want to struggle in South Africa also. Not getting any...

WC Qual: Costa Rica at USA (Wed, 7:30 ET, ESPN2)

I just saw the starting lineup....and I don't like it. Too many regulars, but it's still constructed in a way where the U.S. could struggle a bit because of the bad compliment of forwards. Plus you have Bornstein when someone needs a trial to show us if we can do better.

WC Qual: Costa Rica at USA (Wed, 7:30 ET, ESPN2)

Very sad to hear about Charlie Davies, though I suppose a silver lining would be he was relatively fortunate to not be injured even worse, namely avoiding a head injury altogether from what I gather. 6-12 months before projected recovery, and possibly even a return to the field, is a rather...

WC Qual: USA at Honduras (Sat. 10/10)

Sucks that I couldn't see the last 5-10 minutes or so, and it shouldn't have been this difficult to qualify in weak ass CONCACAF, but the win in and of itself was impressive and I'm just happy they're in after the hole they put themselves in.

Holy [censored], he missed! I couldn't tell from the angle. I'm not suggesting the U.S. bunkers, but they shouldn't keep allowing offenders behind them, surely.
