2015 Sugar Bowl Less Civilized Thread (Arguments/Shenanigans)

Random rude awakening cliché. .5 points, but only for nostalgia.

Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

Meh, the fluff pieces for journalists. Smart gave 'em something to print. Maybe Kiffin is rubbing off on him. Eddie Jackson seems to be retaining his position. I didn't notice who was playing in the SEC CG which is good, but tOSU is far more talented than Mizzou too.

    Bama's Defense for spread teams

Auburn's pass rush and secondary is so bad that it will/could. Anybody can load the box and stop a run game. I forgot Wisconsin lost their HC though. May not matter. Neither of these teams may give solid effort.

2015 Sugar Bowl Less Civilized Thread (Arguments/Shenanigans)

Lol at least a portion of the Alabama fanbase is mad because OSU players compared Sims to Braxton Miller saying he wasn't quite as good as Miller. Maybe I have been hanging out here too long to have taken that as a compliment. OSUK. Ha. I hope and half way expect Saban to beat OSU so badly...

The DL or middle linebacker will track him down in the backfield, at the LOS, or for a short gain. You can send your speed guys out with the motion. You don't have to game plan around his running ability because he is slow enough. His first steps are really slow. That's why Saban and co are...

    Bama's Defense for spread teams

With aubrens luck it will not see the light of day. It is interesting that he missed 8 days of bowl practice before the suspension. Malzahn said that he was "sick".

Duke Williams is suspended for the Wisconsin game. Seems he has a black eye... That combined with Auburn's weak pass rush and secondary will probably do it.

Jones will not beat Alabama running the ball. That's all there is to it. Round 2 of Dak Prescott if Jones carries the ball. You want Elliott running the ball or Devin Smith catching the ball. Neither of those things happens when Jones runs.

    Bama's Defense for spread teams

Ok, I looked it up. Due largely to James Franklin Vandy signed seven 4* guys over the past 3 years. I don't know how many are still there. Mizzou signed eight 4* guys over the same period. Coaches can coach up lesser talent and higher rated players can be busts, but in general having better...

They'll let Jones run all he wants to. He and Nick Marshall are worlds apart. The stats don't tell the whole story do they? If they put in Jalin Marshall then Bama will have to commit to stopping the QB from running the ball and that might open some things up down field. I don't think he has...

2015 Sugar Bowl Less Civilized Thread (Arguments/Shenanigans)

Lol, mine would. That was the first thing I checked when the rankings came out after the championship games. I expect Meyer to have an extensive package worked up for Jalin Marshall. I wouldn't be surprised if he worked the field side to side if something happens with Jones. I almost expect...

    Bama's Defense for spread teams

lol. 8-4 SEC team beats 10-2 Big 10 team. It't dumb yes. What's funnier is you making excuses for Wisconsin like OSU did not beat them 59-0. You're just arguing for the sake of argument.

    Bama's Defense for spread teams

I don't think Mizzou is that talented no. They have 2 good defensive ends and a bit of a play maker at QB. They totally dropped the ball on that game. I did not watch it so IDK WTF really happened. Isn't IU the team that gave OSU a little trouble?

    Bama's Defense for spread teams

Not going to defend an LSU win over a Big 10 division champ. That's just a dumb argument to have.

Melvin Gordon is one of the eight (8) 4* athletes that Wisconsin has signed over the last 3 years. He is pretty talented. Top to bottom Wisconsin is probably a little more talented than Vandy.

icloud brackets. Combination of cornerback, safety, & linebacker coverage. They are going to have to communicate and disguise the coverages to make it work.

Yea its cray cray to do that kind of analysis. It sucks y'all lost JT. I'm hoping for a 2010 capitol one bowl repeat of what happened to Mich St. Now that team healed up before the bowl. Be sure and catch disgusted NS at the 13 second mark.

They don't care about that game. Only that Wisconsin put four more into the NFL than Arkansas over a 5 year stretch.

The best analyst at ESPN is shit. The second best is Robert Smith. Has Robert weighed in on his sugar bowl pick yet? No.

59-0. no talent. It's not even debatable.
