Most likely the muscles around the shoulder weren't as strong as expected. If he was putting some heat on the pass it could be injured similarly to how a pitcher would injure his. Even if no extra damage was done, it will probably be three weeks before he is ready to go.

This is the time for JT to shine. His window of opportunity appears to have arrived. Lets see what this young man can do with it.
