    OL Carson Hinzman (National Champion)

I can't tell if that is the mathematical alligator symbol suggesting Wisconsin is favored >> more than OSU, or if its an arrow pointing a change in his prediction from Wisconsin to OSU?

    Zion Branch (DB USC Trojans)

But now the Rams and Chargers are in town, and the Raiders are in Vegas. It's not the same LA football scene. Maybe it'll get back there, but I doubt it'll be the same.

QB CJ Stroud (All B1G, 2022 B1G QB of the Year, All-American, NFL OROY, Houston Texans)

Stroud didn't help his WRs on a couple throws, and his WRs didn't help him on a couple throws. But none of them made or broke the day. That was on the OLine and the defense.

The Game, tOSU at ttun, Nov. 27th,12pm FOX (3654 down to 0)

Agreed. I thought it was great to get Henderson involved. And I don't think it was bad to aim to run the ball. But why you wouldn't vary it up. We had so much more innovation against MSU (end arounds, misdirections, etc.).

The Game, tOSU at ttun, Nov. 27th,12pm FOX (3654 down to 0)

I felt like the entire tone of the game was set by their first drives of each half. 1st half - Fleming botches the kickoff, leaving us starting from inside the 5. Wypler (who wasn't good all day), botches the snap. 1st drive of the half is done. 2nd half - 3 straight uninspired runs up the gut...

    2021 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Whoa, while I think the 2008 class underwhelmed, I was surprised to see '08 ranked 13 of the last 15 classes. Pryor, Brewster, Shugarts, Adams, Sabino, Posey, and Soneburner added up to a lot of starts and high-end production for the class (and I think finding a multi-year starting QB is worth...

2021 247/Rivals/etc. National and Regional Rankings

Oh dang, for some reason I thought they did. Haha. Well to hell with PSU anyways.

2021 247/Rivals/etc. National and Regional Rankings

I'm not sure we've ever had parity in CFB. But if we ever did, it was when there were 6 power conferences, not just 5, and the Pac 12 at least had one program to be competitive at the national level. The downswing of programs like Miami, Michigan (yuck), Texas, Florida State, USC, and Florida...

    2021 Team Discussion

I think an added lesson most players will have learned from 2020 is that given uncertainty around the world (pandemic, political, etc.), they probably need to focus on securing their own future financial stability. That is even moreso for me given the Big Ten and most of the rest of the FBS...

Tunmise Adeleye (DE Texas A+M transfer to Texas State)

Fair, but also why not enjoy it? The next time he'd be recruited is if/when he's fortunate enough to reach his first NFL free agency..

2021 MI DL Damon Payne (Alabama Verbal)

Apologies if I was harsh. Comments always welcome especially from folks new to the board. I just try not to worry about every ebb and flow of the Buckeyes' recruiting student-athletes (and I think that's the usual advice from the "oldies but goodies" crowd here on BP).
  12. Diego-Bucks

2021 MI DL Damon Payne (Alabama Verbal)

Why? Payne is leaving a neighbor state for a school that the Buckeyes rarely play and rarely affected by directly. It'd be one thing if Payne stayed in conference or (worse) joined TSUN, but the Tide are pretty distant to worry about getting bit in the butt. Yes there's the playoffs, but that is...

    What if....

Agreed. Given that hires like Tressel, Day, Holtmann, Matta, etc. came from FCS, non-P5, or non-head coaching backgrounds I think shows that tOSU usually aims to find a good, dynamic fit over traditional 'plug-and-play' hires poached from elite schools that we often see rumored. Even further...

2019-2020 College Basketball Discussion (Official Thread)

I get the decision, just a bit sad that I won't get to see the Aztecs in the tournament given this was their best regular season ever.

Yeah, and we will hopefully get our starting center back too.

    2020 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Is this skewed based on the location of some of the academies like IMG? Or did they correct for that?

    DT Tracy Sprinkle (National Champion)

Damn. Was looking forward to seeing him out there.

DT Haskell (The Rascal) Garrett (All B1G, 1st Team All-American)

B-E-A-utiful. What technique does he project to?

    WR Jalin Marshall (Edmonton Elks)

Agreed with everything you're saying except for this point. There definitely are still late-bloomers and sleepers who do need to produce in their SR season to be scouted. If you are an NFL talent at a big program, there isn't much need to stay for the SR season just to produce the numbers. The...

    Kyle Allen (QB Washington Redskins)

I think you're thinking of the other TAMU transfer QB, Kyler Murray. Kyle Allen doesn't seem to have that baggage, just the injury-related problems from Sumlin and staff.
