hancock will switch to osu, but recruiting officials will claim that the switch didn't actually happen despite the announcement being clear as day. as such, clemson maintains hancock's commitment.
until next spring when aau is expected to return as normal, it's probably a good idea to disregard recruiting rankings almost completely. that's overstating it a bit, especially for the 2021 class, but players aren't ranked by what they do between september and march. rankings hinge on aau...
who knows what the future holds and certainly there is nothing at all to indicate that ho1tmann's tenure won't be long; however, if osu finds itself in a position to hire a new head coach in a couple years or five, who else could or should it be other than pedon? he'd be a great fit for a...
as horrible as it sounds, one silver lining of the current uncertainty is that people tend to respond by seeking safety and familiarity. could see branham wanting to stay close(r) to home as a result. similar thinking might influence ho1tmann's overall recruiting, too. sean jones is a fine...
dj moore is moving up osu's board. concern might be whether he's projected to be more of a collegiate combo than a point. don't think it should matter, even from osu's perspective. still think we ultimately get sean jones, but ho1tmann doesn't like short(er) guards. dj has at least a couple...
regarding lucas taylor, doesn't a player with those two names kinda hafta go to ohio state? i mean, wouldn't you expect the same if our football program were recruiting a player named griffin hayes?
kinda sounds like the main reason for osu being #2 is the official. if so, don't agree. minny hasn't gotten an official simply because he lives in the same city. my guess is either the zags or the gophers get him.
didn't recall the name, so was a bit surprised that ho1tmann offered a 2021 player without (i'm assuming) a prior face-to-face. and then i saw that taylor is from north carolina. wondered if elon offered him. yep. this is probably an assist from schrage.
anyway, kid looks quite talented...
sure, we'll know more, but we've been in this "it's gonna get better in a few weeks" mode for how long now? might be time to take a view that is beyond a few inches in front of our nose.
at the beginning of march, we were having conversations about how we might get the ncaa tournament to work out. how foolish do those conversations appear now?
in a month or two, that's how we're going to look back on these conversations about having an october start.
