That’s about it. City league families have finally pulled out of Columbus and dropped into Pickerington, Reynoldsburg, and Westerville. Pickerington North & South are powerhouses in several sports…..Burg and all the Westervilles are getting strong. Hilliard is also full of a lot of folks who...
I think it’s ok to trash Bradshaw at this point. The dude f-ed us so badly this year. When we could have used him early , he was “away from basketball” and when he comes in he is inconsistent as hell. Now sick at the worst possible time. GTFOH.
Meechie? I have no idea what his story is but...
But we aren’t a young team. I think it is so telling that Diebler thinks we are young. I gotta eat my crow. The guy is not cut out to be a HC at a big time program……perhaps in a few years, but not under this contract. Unfortunately, we don’t have the money to flip coaches like this. I...
Okpara…..he was better last year than anyone we have down low this year……..if not by a mile then by a significant amount. He was a deterrent and had developed his timing to block shots.
Bradshaw let the team down early in the season and could have made the difference in the Pitt game...
So you’re saying that we were forced to play 6’6 guys on 7 footers most of the 2nd half and not play our 7 footers on the bench ? I’d like to understand that logic.
Dude…..Matta had us there for 7 or 8 years. Michigan isn’t perennially a top 10 team yet they have our number in BB.
It’s not going to get easier. It’s going to get tougher. Our live by the 3/ die by the 3 offensive plan is fun when it works but when we are cold…..like 3/4 of this...
Or whomever the big was last year who had shown tremendous growth his first 2 years……..he figured out that to take the next step he needs better coaching. I swear I can’t remember his name. He was from Africa.
I’m not so sure. We have an experienced, good roster but either he plays guys to stop the bleeding or he should just recruit 2 or 3 more outside shooters. His offense comes down to feast or famine…..today was famine. No answer to the bigs. But what is worse…..no ATTEMPT to try something...
I agree. And I was in favor of it…..but deep down knew it was highly risky. Indiana will nail their next hire and OSU will move one more notch down the totem pole to where we were under O’Brien and Holtmann. A decent, pesky team that can beat you but usually doesn’t. Basically, Minnesota.
At some point the coach has to be blamed. His players mentally collapse too often. He is probably a very good MAC coach where guard and combo play dominates the game. But in the top 10, you have to have multiple bigs who can play down low as well as draw their man out due to being a triple...
Michigan won the coaching search last year. OSU is going to have a deep hole to dig out of because if we don’t make the tourney this year, then Diebler has 1 year to do it. It’s a shame how far OSU basketball has fallen.
Not tough down low. Not smart out top. Not good on the sideline.
