  1. '05 MD LB Rico McCoy (Tennessee signee)

Wasn't there a big stirup in D.C. area athletics a couple years ago or last year, whenever the serial sniper was doing his thing?
  2. Recruiting "guru" roundtable

Great to see the experts are giving us our due props so far. Hope we keep things rolling. Maurice Wells, AM-W, Rico McCoy, Doug Worthington and some others would go a long way to helping us secure a Top 5 class. And I feel we have a great shot at all of them.
  3. '05 Illinois recruiting

I thought the same thing, about the same size too.
  4. '05 Ohio RB/DB Ryan Brinson (Transfer from WVU to Akron)

Iowa has done things the right way and is now starting to reap some benefits in recruiting. Ferentz seems to be one of those coaches who is going to get as much as he can out of his kids. Improving the recruiting base is really going to help this team move back into the elite of the Big Ten. IF...
  5. UF OL Ronnie "Taz" Wilson (official thread)

I am still not buying into the whole Florida speed thing. Anywhere you look around the country there are going to be kids that are slow and kids that are fast and everywhere in between. Then there are the special fast players or the players that are freakishly fast for their size. Florida simply...
  6. Boone and Cordle look to get jump

Seems like we are only three or four years away from early admissions being the norm. It seems like every year a higher and higher percentage is attempting to do just that.
  7. Buckeyes off to a blazing start

Good to see OSU in the top ranks on both lists. Miami is proving that they can both bring in the talent and coach them up. Hate to say it, but that is a very impressive number. And probably a number that the Miami coaching staff wears acrossed their chest whenever they walk into a recruits home.
  8. CB Andre Amos (official thread)

Not an exact number, but pretty darn close. Rumored to be moving a lot of them to DB or elsewhere. Still is a lot of bodies to sift through. This was discussed in depth on a previous link I had read regarding Amos. Don't have a link. Probably was earlier in this very thread. Sorry, it was about...
  9. DT Doug Worthington (Official Thread)

Great defense can make up for lackluster offense. We sure have seen a lot of that lately.
  10. '05 Ohio LB Lance Phillips

Yeah, you can't teach instincts, size and toughness. Hope everything works out for him because he seems like a hell of a prospect. His size reminds me of the FB who went to Illinios last year from Ohio, minus all the demands.
  11. Recruiting "guru" roundtable

Now your talkin'. I've got the big screen.
  12. '05 CA S/RB Shawn Oatis (UCLA signee)

I agree with your statement. However, this time around it will probably take Pete Carroll and Norm Chow leaving for USC to slump again. Just too much going for them right now.
  13. Recruiting "guru" roundtable

Recruiting seems to be a hobby, much like watching college football. The interesting thing to me is that there is a dividing line between the two. All of my friends are OSU football fans. However, if I was to mention the name Rob Schoenhoft only a few would identify him as our most recent...
  14. DT Doug Worthington (Official Thread)

Now that Sanchez is off the board, Worthington excites me more than any other player out there. You can't teach size and speed. He is one of those first player off the bus for intimidation players ala his idol Will Smith.
  15. CB Andre Amos (official thread)

It seems like a lot needs to be straightened out as far as the depth chart goes for our wide recievers. This season should do a lot to straighten that out. However, you have two seniors, Hollins and Childress who should play a major role in the process. So there might just be playing time next...
  16. '05 CA S/RB Shawn Oatis (UCLA signee)

Keep hearing he would be the perfect compliment to AM-W. Hope his interest is sincere. On a side note, interesting the mention of Arizona. I hope Mike Stoops can transform that school into a power. USC needs the competition out on the left coast. That league is a cake walk for USC, both on the...
  17. '05 AZ RB Matt Clapp (Oklahoma signee)

Oklahoma may have been his favorite all along, but an OSU offer would have probably sweetened the pot a little and made it interesting. Seems obvious that OSU is uncertain if they need a FB in this class. Probably would like to get a chance to see Stan White and Dionte Johnson in camp this fall...
  18. '05 OH RB Greg Keys (Kent State signee)

These kind of stories make me sick. So many kids who would die to be in Keys position, or in Irizary's position. The law is the law and it applies to everyone. Racial slurs are awful but not against the law. Vandalism is no better or worse than racial slurs, but definitely against the law. No...
  19. '05 GA TE Stephen Gowland (Auburn walk-on)

It will be a far better experience for you on game day if you can make that happen. Incredible environment. The SEC of the north as far as game day atmosphere is concerned.
  20. Buckeyes off to a blazing start

That is a ringing endorsement for the Big Ten, or at least the coaches of the Big Ten. The coaches of the Big Ten are obviously developing their players very well. 6 of the Big Ten's 11 schools made it into the Top 19 to place players in the draft over the last 3 years? Good job Big Ten. Really...
