I second NGA. Whitner will put the fear of God into the froshies early, thus eliminating their best weapons, and Ginn will finally not have a penalty called on a return for a td. I look for Smith to keep improving, but I think the punt return game will be the major difference tonight.

I thought he went in the 2nd. Either way, the Jets were just having a terrible day in all phases of the game. I'd like to think if the kick actually mattered he would have nailed it dead center. :)

I think that if you throw Dionte, or whoever, in the backfield as a FB you'd see Pittman get more yards, more consistently. He's a strong runner with good speed. Maybe the injury concerns caused JT to only give Pittman 17 carries, but I feel, if he's healthy, we need to give it to him 20-25x a game.

The loss sucks even more b/c with iowa and michigan losing, our chances of playing our way to a rematch in pasadena got worse.

This is one of those times when you just hope for the earth to open up and swallow both teams. Since that probably won't happen, however, you've gotta pull for a strong Big10, and wait for tOSU to mess 'em up! :D

No doubt I'd take Krenzel at this point as well, but isn't Smith 4-1 as a starter? Who knows, maybe he goes on and doesn't lose the rest of his starts. Then it would actually be a debate.
