  1. 2008 NBA Draft

I like the Hickson pick. He's a talented, strong, hard working power forward. It wasn't my first choice, but there's certainly nothing wrong with this pick. He's definitely more of an NBA power forward. I think he'll fit in well in Cleveland. It's definitely not a bad pick.
  2. Cavs 08-09 Season - Central Div Champs (official thread)

Not true at all. If Lebron were to go to the Nets right now, they're at best a six seed or so. They're going to be HORRIBLE now and in the near future. Now way they're instantly as good as the Cavs have been. A lot of the Cavs success has been built around their defense in addition to Lebron...
  3. Cavs 08-09 Season - Central Div Champs (official thread)

I'm not to worried about the Nets right now. They're a horrible, horrible team. If Lebron truly cares about winning, then the Nets are the least of my concern. If all he wants is the money, then more power to him. I just can't imagine Lebron going to the Nets simply for the pay increase.
  4. Cavs 08-09 Season - Central Div Champs (official thread)

I don't really think we need defensive help that much in the post. Besides, if there's one thing I'd trust Mike Brown to teach KK, it would be defense. Not to mention you'd have Ilgauskas mentoring him for at least a few years. With all this said, I don't think Kosta comes close to falling to...
  5. Cavs 08-09 Season - Central Div Champs (official thread)

Picking Batum would be a bad pick IMO. He's not really proven at all and he'll take a while to develop. I say that unless a good big(i.e. Kosta or maybe a JJ Hickson) falls to us, we should take CDR. From everything I've seen he should be there for us, so I think we should do it, even if we get...
  6. QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

Is it possible Miller could be the earliest football offer in Ohio State history? From what I recall, JamO was offered and committed as a sophomore. I'm not sure when he was offered as a sophomore, but Miller appears to have the skill, notoriety, bloodlines, and familiarity with the program to...
  7. Illinois Fighting Illini (you'll see)

Lopo is at it again! Stumbled upon a link to this thread: Scout.com: Chances with Watt just went UP! Amazing how he knows more about Ohio State recruiting than the Ohio State insiders. He's not wrong, they're wrong!
  8. RB Jaamal Berry (Transfer to Murray State)

I think Jordan Hall will be the next Mo Wells type player(hopefully as committed to the Buckeyes as Wells is with a little more success). I do think we'll need another pure running back. I see Lamaar Thomas from last year being primarily a slot receiver. Maybe a touch or two out of the backfield.
  9. CBF40'S Look at '09 recruiting

Why? Does their opinion matter at all about anything?
  10. RB Jaamal Berry (Transfer to Murray State)

Might be a good idea to know what you're talking about, you know, before talking.
  11. '09 UT OL John Martinez (USC Signee)

Ok. That makes sense, because I was really impressed with Martinez's film.
  12. '09 UT OL John Martinez (USC Signee)

Couldn't possibly be true. Ohio talent is overrated. Look at the last two championship games for proof... Anyways, I'm thinking that maybe Martinez had a bad day, because his film was VERY impressive. Then again, that could also have been due to the fact that he's playing in Utah, where I'm...
  13. 2009 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

Honestly, Hall probably shouldn't fit anywhere on those lists aside from run blocker IMO. He kind of lacks fluidity in his movement IMO. That will be corrected with coaching and strength and flexibility training though. You can see that he oozes potential though. I do think he's one of the best...
  14. WR Duron Carter (Official Thread)

I like this WR class a lot. Three totally different types of receivers, who all do what they do very well. I expect Carter to be the next Robiskie. Won't wow you with measurables, but will wow you with his play. Congrats and welcome Duron!
  15. Big Ten and other Conference Expansion

Just to go into a different direction for this thread... What about Maryland as a potential twelfth team? They fit academically, and they'd give PSU a legitimate rival. They bring in two big media markets in Baltimore and Washington DC. Their football program isn't elite, but they're also not...
  16. 2009 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

And Scout continues to show why I only look at their basketball rankings... Rivals isn't much better, though there seems to be at least one strand of logic to their rankings. Scout is always over the map.
  17. 2007 TSUN News

He hasn't done a good job until he shows he can recruit good defensive players IMO. I'll judge Rodriguez based on his defensive line class this year. That will tell me if he's a good recruiter. Getting 8 slots is good and all, but that hardly makes him a good recruiter. Penn State can recruit...
  18. CBF40'S Look at '09 recruiting

Alright. Soory about that. I knew you guys were vigilant with updates, but not that vigilant. Thanks for answering my question though.
  19. CBF40'S Look at '09 recruiting

Has it been nailed down when Emilien and Berry would visit. I checked the visitor thread and saw nothing on them, but I just wanted to make sure in case no one got around to updating it yet or if their planned date hasn't been finalized yet.
