One nit on Diebler would be he forces passes sometimes.
At least twice today he forced a pass that ended up in a turnover. I like that he's trying to make the extra pass, but I think he's trying to hard and as a result he's forcing things though. He's much better when he lets the game come to...
Mullens needs to realize that he doesn't have to start to shoot the second he gets the ball. He needs to take his time and pass the ball back out if necessary.
He's done that a few times so far this game.
That cut by Buford was a thing of beauty.
Unfortunate he couldn't finish because of the foul, but great ball movement so far.
Just need to start hitting shots.
Rose is more compact that Fellows IMO.
Fellows isn't "lanky", but he's taller and has longer limbs than Rose does IMO.
I think he's also a little more fluid than Rose(he struggles when he has to change directions IMO. Straight line he's good).
I think he'll be a prototypical Strong side DE.
I think it's because Darnell is less prone to mistakes on the defensive end and is a bigger body that can guard some of the bigger players(like O'Neal tonight), where as Hickson is a little too skinny right now to guard Centers, even if only temporarily.
Neither, if used in the regular...
Mike Brown's rotations have been one of the best non-personnel things of this early season. Mike Brown appears to be maturing as a coach, and isn't really a liability any more. He's not hamstringing our offense(though I think this can also be attributed to player additions and the maturing of...
I noticed that too looking at the schedule a few days ago. The Next six games are:
Fri: Indiana
Sat: @ Charlotte
Tue: Toronto
Wed: @ Philly
Fri: Philly
Sat: @ Atlanta
If we can come out of this 4-2 I'll be pretty happy. Those last four games could be tough.
I was hoping Hickson would get some run earlier in this game with the first team.
Still, Cavs just playing amazing all around ball right now. It's beautiful to watch when everyone on the team is doing their thing.
Not if we lose to Notre Dame. Rankings are pointless anyways.
I'm just happy to see this team show heart and toughness in a road environment.
Turner is the key to this season, and there's no way to stress this enough. The way he goes, Ohio State goes IMO. Buford could develop into a comparable...
Awesome games by Turner, Diebler, and Lighty. Great defense by everyone over all throughout the second half.
There's still a lot of work that needs to be done, but this team took on their first real challenged and responded great.
Love the talent and players on this team.
The talent is there to be good THIS SEASON. Some players just need to step it up. Evan Turner hasn't been playing bad by any stretch of the imagination, but if we're going to win this game and be successful this season, he needs to be more assertive and smarter on the offensive end. I think he's...
I'd really like to throw out Buford and Crater and just let them play(within our system obviously) without fear of being pulled quickly or anything.
I think a lineup or Lauderdal-Turner-Crater-Buford-Lighty/Diebler would be really good and fun to watch.
Hard not to like how Crater has looked so far this early season. I'd like to see him get a boost in minutes, even if that means playing him with Simmons and having a small backcourt.
Evan Turner needs to step up and start creating.
I really wish college would adopt the semi-circle in the lane. Being able to take charges that low is killing dribble penetration in college basketball.
Ohio State could be playing a lot worse, but we're not taking advantage of things so far.
Agreed with the Pavlovic comment.
Most telling statistic they showed during the game was that Lebron is 39th in the league in minutes per game. That brought a bigger smile to my face than any offensive statistic ever could.
With that said, watching the Cavs regular rotation play offense is...
