  1. #8 tOSU 72, #9 Siena 74 (Final, 2OT)

If he is a lottery pick, he should absolutely go and take the money. Although I love what Turner did for us this year, I don't think he will fit in the NBA quite well. He is a mediocre shooter, his whole offense is those unorthodox post moves. He is a sloppy ball handler and passer. He gets some...
  2. '10 MI DE/TE William Gholston (Michigan State signee)

Well, you are wrong. We have offered guys like Kyle McCarthy, Mike Zordich, Justin Boren, Devon Kennard and Dre Kirkpatrick last year etc. and we would be scared of offering Vernon's cousin? edit: Also read first couple of pages of this thread.
  3. G Jamar Butler (Official Thread)

There is a difference between using a small amount of Marijuana and smuggling/trading large amounts. Also, events in that movie was grossly exaggarated, check this link for an account of the author himself. If you can not tell, I am of Turkish descent, and I am sure a Turkish prison is not a...
  4. '10 OH TE Alex Smith (Kentucky signee)

I also don't think it is very likely he would be turned with an offer, just he would get offered if staff thinks he is worthy. As for your first point, and this was just my guess about why he did not get an offer, he just doesn't seem to be very strong. In his video, from scoutingohio, on...
  5. '10 OH TE Alex Smith (Kentucky signee)

In my opinion, this was Brandon Moore case all over again. Smith doesn't fit into TE prototype we are looking for. Of course, if I am wrong and he is at the top of the TE board, this verbal would not stop our staff from offering, again IMO.
  6. Devin Gardner (official thread)

Honestly, that doesn't make much sense to me. First of all, I don't think chances of Pryor leaving after his junior year are high. That means DG would probably have two years at Ohio State before he starts (and he still has his senior year at high school). If staff is not confident he would be...
  7. '10 CA QB Nick Montana (Washington Signee; transfer to Tulane)

That QB, Connor Wood, committed to Texas today.
  8. QB Antonio Henton (transfer to Ga. Southern and FT. Valley St.)

Here, GSU fans say he walked off a drill. No reason given for that, they speculate another QB possibly winning the job might be the reason. I have to say GSU has very active boards for a DIV 1-AA team.
  9. Duane Long (Blog Discussion)

Looking back, we got Lawrence Wilson from that list. We also added Brian Robiskie and Donald Washington late, they are not even mentioned in this article. Among the ones we "missed", Kyle McCarthy was a pretty good player for Notre Dame, while Gwaltney, Kearney and Ashley were total busts...
  10. 2009 TSUN News (football only discussion)

I don't think starting one year would help Threet much. I'd be shocked if he ever made it to the NFL. He should use his athletic scholarship to get a degree like most student athletes do and a Michigan degree is certainly better than a Delaware or an App. State degree.
  11. '09 KY ATH Justin Green (Illinois Signee)

I preferred the old trade where we got both of those guys and Illini got the middle finger. In all seriousness, as coach said today that is why there is a national signing day. I don't know the inner workings of Justin's recruitment but it was obvious from the start that he was not very...
  12. 2009 TSUN News (football only discussion)

Peterman signed his LOI to Syracuse and that thread is (conveniently) no longer there. There is a thread on the Syracuse board about Peterman and UM, though.
  13. '09 KY ATH Justin Green (Illinois Signee)

Yes, IMO that is why we started recruiting Hosley. I think after that there was an article where Justin said he was solid and that is about the time we stopped recruiting Hosley. At least that is how I interpret events.
  14. Super Bowl XLIII: Steelers(-6.5) vs. Cardinals

Did you all hear "The-The Ohio State", just before the commercial?
  15. '09 VA QB Chris Coyer (Temple Signee)

I want to expand that point since our Temple visitor might not be familiar with Boucher. He is a QB committed to Miami of Ohio, another MAC school. he was our backup plan after Boyd. We offered him, and he decided to stick with Miami. You won't see anybody denying that offer. In Coyer's case, we...
  16. '09 OH QB Austin Boucher (Miami-OH Signee)

Good luck to Austin. He seems like a classy person. I definitely wish we had offered him before Boyd. I wonder if we go after another QB recruit now.
  17. Tajh Boyd (official thread)

I guess Wadc45 posted it as a possible good sign. I don't think there is anything wrong with offering a committed player. If he is not interested, he would say "No, Thanks" and that would be it. That is what we did with Fellows, Nic DiLillo etc.
  18. 2009 TSUN News (football only discussion)

FYI, Carlos Hyde had offers from all of the Big 3 in Florida. I think he is one of the most underrated recruits in our class.
  19. DB Christian Bryant (Official Thread)

Someone claiming to be Christian Bryant used to post on the Michigan scout site. And that someone was not very enthusiastic about the Buckeyes. It may very well be an imposter (or his opinions might have changed) but it is better to keep expectations reasonable about this recruit IMO.
