  1. Big Ten and other Conference Expansion

 You might as well said Miami of Ohio. At least their academics are somewhat respectable and they have more tradition in sports. Top 25 in all-time wins for college football, so on and so forth.
  2. Big Ten and other Conference Expansion

How about Hawaii to Boise, Idaho? :)
  3. Game Thread FIESTA BOWL: tOSU 21, Texas 24 (01-05-09)

Didn't we sell all our tickets for this game? Can somebody prove this guy wrong? "Ohio State University and the Big Ten lost $1 million in failed ticket sales for last year's Fiesta Bowl."
  4. Big Ten and other Conference Expansion

Mid-major term does not have an official definition. I don't think 5 years of affiliation to a watered down Big East conference makes Cincinnati a major program. Certainly not enough time to forget they were once a MAC team :).
  5. Big Ten and other Conference Expansion

I think they did but Florida didn't. It looks like Florida fans are not very excited to play UC. And who can blame them? This is why this bowl system sucks. Three midmajors in BCS bowls, what a crappy bowl lineup.
  6. Big Ten and other Conference Expansion

Texas to Big Ten was close to becoming a reality according to this article.
  7. CB Bradley Roby (2x All B1G)

    Do you know something?
  8. '10 OH OL Matt James (Notre Dame Signee - RIP)

Where is the proof that he liked Kelly? He liked Cinci because his dad played there, his high school QB is going there and it is close to home. He might have also liked Kelly but I doubt it, Kelly seems like such a pompous jerk. Also, maybe James didn't like how Kelly left Cincinnati. Now, I...
  9. Brian "Body Kount" Kelly (HC Louisiana State)

I think this guy is a total asshole, always picking up a fight with somebody on the sidelines. It is a good thing if he is going to ND, I wouldn't want a likable guy there. I always disliked RichRod as well; I was glad when UM replaced Lloyd Carr with him.
  10. Cincy 45, Pitt 44 (final)

Word game: Pitt- 'stache --> Wannsted UC- rape --> ??? Hint: start with an A and ends with "Lex Daniels". By the way, three midmajors in BCS this year? Maybe it is time to return to the old bowl system.
  11. Cincinnati 49, Illinois 36 (final)

I agree. You know, Joe Pa is a very clever man. I think it would be best if we do what PSU did to Pittsburgh and stopped playing them altogether. They would whine and cry about it but at the end what can they do? Nothing. There is only one thing essential for a big time program, and that is a...
  12. Jim Tressel (National Champion, ex-President, Youngstown State University, CFB HOF)

From that article "Jim Tressel seems to absorb the sharpest pointed arrows from the college football cognoscenti". When you think about it, it is absolutely true and it is not just this week. No other coach, Charlie Weis or Rich Rodriguez or whoever you can think of, gets a fraction of the...
  13. Patriots at Colts(-2.5)

I think Patriots had the first down but regardless of the outcome it was a dumb call.
  14. 2010 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Actually, the Ohio State offer says it all.
  15. Purdue 38, TSUN 36 (Final)

From ESPN play by play. "Two-point conversion attempt, Tate Forcier rush FAILED." Yes, failed capitalized.
  16. TSUN 13 at Illinois 38 (official Zooking)

They already look pretty loose to me.
  17. Cardinals at Giants(-6.5)

He had a fumbling problem his freshman year here.
  18. 2009 tOSU Offense Discussion

Great idea by Duane, if we ever want Tressel to resign that is a surefire way to do it :roll2:.
  19. Game Thread #7 tOSU 18, Purdue 26 (Oct 17, Noon ET, BTN)

Yay, Florida is also losing. That makes everything OK :roll2: Well, let me throw my two cents as well so this post won't be totally worthless. I expected a mediocre year from the Buckeyes. This is obviously a rebuilding year. On another board, I mentioned that I expected a 8-4, 9-3 year...
  20. Colorado 14, Texas 38 (Final)

I am rooting for Texas this year. Hopefully, they go undefeated and Colt McCoy wins the Heisman (as long as it is not Tebow I am happy but there doesn't seem to be any other candidates.)
