I love Davonte's skill set, but we have a guy next year in Jalin Marshall and plenty of other spots to fill at positions of greater need (OL, LB, now DB) that make Davonte not a kid I think we let us string us along.
2013 is so chalk full of DBs, especially in Ohio too, that we should be able to load up then. We get Reeves, hopefully, to finish out this class, and we'd be good.
Exacty. We know he was measured there, and maybe he IS the 163, but I have a few weights listed and the 163, judging by the photo, just seems way low and I figure it to be a typo... as Frohlich said.
I saw this too, but then I saw on Rivals that he was 5'7" 218... I don't know what to believe, but he is a thick, strong kid, so I'm thinking the 163 was a typo. I wonder if Urban sees him more of a Brandon James speciail teams-utility guy, or a Rainey-Demps speed-scat back?
Anybody have an update for Lexington, KY? I can't find McCae's (the one listed on the first page) anywhere, and it looks like that address is for a place called Underdogs. Thanks!
There are a lot of really good Ohio OL in the 2013 class as well though. If Peterson is anything like Michael Bennett, then he and Price in the middle of the DL would be outstanding.
Dwight Howard STILL doesn't have a jumper, and he's doing just fine for himself. Ben Wallace NEVER had a jumper. As a center, you don't need to drift outside the paint, though a little range couldn't hurt. If he can make shots 10ft and in, and he is THIS good already on defense, and can...
I would think he is without a doubt a DT. There are some solid OL guys again in 2013, plus he trains (or at least trained) with the Simons. Price's future is on the DL.
After this year, Norwell and Hall are more than likely our OTs for 2012 and 2013. We actually should have a pretty strong OL for those 2 years, with Norwell-Mewhort-Bobek-Linsley-Hall all having quite a bit of experience by then. Depth would be a concern though, obviously.
