It is unfortunate Laurinaitis couldn't win the Bednarik. But, I am glad to see Connor win it over Dorsey. Three awards is enough for Dorsey. I guess the Butkus Award is announced tomorrow night. The Dayton Daily News said it was tonight. But, that was incorrect, the Butkus Award site says...
Laurinaitis did out number Dorsey in tackles, but you expect that to happen because the fact that Dorsey is a lineman. Just for the record, Dorsey had 6 sacks this year along with 11.5 tackles for loss. Not too much better than Laurinaitis, altogether I think Laurinaitis is the better overall...
The vote only counts for one official vote in the award voting, but that vote can be very important in deciphering who wins the award, right now Dorsey is in the lead for the Bednarik.
Put a lot of guys in the box and try to shut down Beanie Wells. Make Todd Boeckman make plays downfield by making Boeckman beat you deep. The average person can look at film and figure out Boeckman has underthrown a lot of passes this year. Pressure Boeckman, he has not really been highly...
Congrats to Dorsey, he is very deserving of the award. At least tomorrow night Dorsey cannot win the Butkus Award. Dorsey is a finalist for the Bednarik Award, like Laurinaitis, hopefully Dorsey does not win three awards over him. It will be interesting to see if Laurinaitis can bring home...
Couldn't have said it better, I hate the arrogance of Michigan, not all players are like that, but a lot are, especially Hart and even Manningham. They got what they deserved playing at Michigan, like Mike Hart said "0-4."
haha, I don't know, possibly. But, I was just wandering if anyone heard anything on it or not, because I haven't yet. Don't worry though I will keep an eye out for it.:tongue2:
Does anyone have any information on who won the Lombardi Award? I have checked a few places and haven't found any information on it, so I am guessing it is to early for the anouncement.
The way I have always gotten mine, is by waiting around after games and just standing around by the locker room waiting for the players to come out. It was a lot easier 10 years ago, I could use to just walk right up to the locker room door and get any autograph I wanted. But, security has...
I have been collecting autographs since the mid 90's. Overall I would say I have close to maybe 500 or so total. I plan on looking through some of my autographs soon, because another person asked me about them, if I have any doubles I will just give them to you, but I will have to see what I...
Dorsey did end up winning the Nagurski Award. Laurinaitis is still up for 4 more awards and the winner of the Butkus Award is announced Dec. 7th. It will be interesting to see which award(s) he wins, if any.
I think the "easiest" match would be against Virginia Tech, they are a good football team, but I just don't think they are as good as LSU or Georgia. I would much rather play LSU or Georgia so we can have another chance to beat an SEC team. I think we will end up facing LSU over Georgia as of...
Almost 12 hours now until game time, this is a huge game, I am hoping to be able to watch it but I work until around 10, but there will be some way I watch the game, I will guarantee that. But, lets go Sooners!
:gobucks1:
I agree with you there, he played almost the entire game in only about 7 games out of the 12. Also, not to mention he had a few off games, the Penn State game I think he only recorded about 3 tackles and a couple other games he only had about 4 or 5 tackles. But, when we needed him he stepped...
I think with him now being a finalist for the Lott Trophy, that makes him capable of getting 5 awards(correct me if I am wrong). But I think he is eligible for the Bednarik, Butkus, Nagurski, Lott, and Lombardi Award and not to mention he has been mentioned in the Heisman race(not like he is...
Actually if that did happen, I would not be surprised if we would play LSU. LSU right now is ranked 5th in the AP Poll and if they win the SEC it would be hard not to put LSU over Georgia since LSU did win the conference. But, I would think it would be between possibly Georgia, Virginia Tech...
Hawaii is still undefeated, but they are not really a big deal, after all they play in the WAC and they are not in National Championship contention. But, I hope we get stuck playing WVU. I want to prove all spectators wrong that think we will not be able to stop the West Virginia offense since...
Either way, neither Oregon or bucks19 will be complaining if or when we get him. He has good size at 6'6 235. But, there is always room for improvement and that is what strength coaches are there for. He will be ready to play when he gets the chance.
