that's what surprised me about southern cal the first time i came out, the surroundings and the landscape, i really had no idea it was so mountainous, it's beautiful

there is a section of Irvine, that covers a few blocks, where absolutely everything is in Japanese, all the signs, Japanese banks, grocery stores, everything, not a little touristy section like Chinatown in San Fran, actual businesses and commerce......it really tripped me...

ok, i'll backup Highstreet, he is definitely much MORE un-biased and national with this list, but the TX bias is still incredibly obvious..........he's given a lot more attention to Florida than other lists I've seen, and the LA obsession is still there, although not as bad as i've seen...
