Now that should be the talk of the town.
Instead of doing a "Draft" to pick and choose what players get on a mediocre spring game team, why not do it as a student vs. alumini game?
OSU could probably charge $50 a ticket to see it happen. I couldn't imagine the kind of insanity if you had the...
I really doubt that the Big Ten will ever release the results to that survey. They'll take the findings, and do the exact opposite of whatever they say.
"90% hate the names 'Legends' and 'Leaders'?! Impossible! The survey must obviously mean that 90% love the names! Fantastic!"
Call me crazy, but I just don't think that Haslam is going to be that stupid. He wrote a billion-dollar check for the Browns. If he wants "His guy", its because he believes he can win.
Having said that, I have no horses in the race. Never cared about the Browns before. I hope they do well, and...
Given rule changes, it'd seem that there is enough room for more varied offenses. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm seeing a LOT more shotgun formations than I was 3-4 years ago... Especially from very good teams like the Patriots and Green Bay.
I'm not saying Chip's kind of blur offense would...
Not only that, it'll really allow Braxton to shine, as Urban won't have to call a designed run for Braxton every 2nd or 3rd play. He can be utilized more as an option thread, but primarily that - an option, not the only option.
To me, its a problem of figuring out who justifies a big-name hire for Wisconsin, if anyone.
The last two big-name B1G coaches, AFAIK were Rodriguez and Meyer... And we know how one of them turned out. I kinda like the hire in the way that the guy did turn around USU, and had a bunch of close...
I think Richardson is a very good back, being held back by an incompetent team. When there is no threat of passing from an abysmal quarterback (4th worst in the league in rating, 3 more picks than TDs), they're going to stop the run.
I really have no skin in caring about the Browns, but Haslam...
Announcers just said that Nevada broke the NCAA record for most 1st downs in a game - 38. Oh, the satisfaction of watching a RichRod defense again.
*edit*
Nevada going for the kill shot on 4th and 1... Got #39 there. They've run >101 plays on offense thus far.
44-28 Wolfpack.
Nevada has called 90 offensive plays so far, and it isn't even the 4th quarter. QB took a nasty hit and went limp, was out for 1 play, then came back in and scored a running TD.
Only because of Bert, really.
He's the whole reason for the perceived disarray. When you suddenly leave a program, allowing the staff to be picked off by everyone else, you really set a program back.
It'd be the same way if Tressel had left a few years earlier than he did, and Meyer wasn't...
FYI, the Big Ten has another survey out about divisional alignment.
This time, they are presenting three possible divisional setups and have you pick which is your most and least favorite. (URL: http://btn.com/2012/12/13/take-the-survey-which-division-ideas-do-you-prefer/)
Option #1 is the...
You're forgetting who actually approves of universities joining the Big Ten.
It's not Urban Meyer, Gene Smith, Brady Hoke, or Dave Brandon.
It's Gordon Gee and Mary Sue Coleman.
What do you think they care about more - football, or the other 90% of their university's budget? The Big Ten may...
