I think Ross summed up it well when he said he believes they are trying to make this defense run before it can walk. The lack of depth at LB and the weakness in Man coverage with our safeties they had better be very good with the front 4. Teams that can neutralize them will have great success...

From a Freshman production standponit he is reminding me a lot of Ryan Sahzier last year. Always around the ball on special teams and making plays. At some point this season he is going to work his way on to the field.

Showme.. 100% agree seems like a very good young man and would be thrilled to have him in this recruiting class. But Penn State is not close to home for him, I am pretty sure OSU is closer to home then PSU would have been. Again, just seems regardless of what OSU can offer the young man...

His recruitment reminds me a lot of an Olineman we tried to bring in with "Block O". Jenkins or something like that. Not exact situaion, but just doesn't want to come to OSU even thought many things line up and say otherwise.

Nice article, sounds like Mike is getting some really good advice and direction. I hope it works out in Ohio State's favor but on the surface it sounds like a young man is getting some good advice from his dad. Refreshing after some other experiences we fans has seen and read.

Seriously not knocking a rival team, but there just seems to be no rhyme or reason to who they are taking... Just none. Bengals are drafting well again (actually 3 rd - 4th year in row) Steelers - Slow steady, solid plan/pickups Ravens - Making solid move ups and downs last couple years...

Agree on CB.... Never know hopefully there will be a player or two they have on their board that will get some depth there. I still think we try to find a RB this draft. With Mendenhall out for 2012, I would think they want to get some guys in camp at least.
