The UCLA thing is most baffling to me as it seems Howland's seat should be red hot. Regardless, Tony would be a much needed and highly valuable piece here but something seems amiss. Hope it all works out for the best.
nice finale for Will (obviously excepting the result), seemed like he was feeling it tonight and wished he could have got a few more shots down the stretch (ala at MSU)
It sounds like the only way they would have taken him was if the Angels ate a bunch of his salary. I would have been okay with them giving up a AAAA guy for him in that scenario (Indians have enough of those types to spare one).
Cavs now have quite the stockpile of picks with which to surround Kyrie with talent. In addition to their own picks, I believe they have the following:
2012 1st round from LAL
2012 2nd round from NO (currently #32 overall)
2013 1st round from MIA or LAL (whichever pick is better)
2013 2nd...
Here's an example of why you have to be careful (& smart) with free agency. I think a real strong arguement can be made that Patterson is the better player.
Patterson - 3 years, 16 million, 6 million guaranteed
Eric Wright - 5 years, 37.5 million, 15.5 million guaranteed
There's also the option to move S. Brown to safety if they draft Claiborne. CB would be pretty well set with Haden/Claiborne/Patterson/Skrine and so it would make sense to try Brown at S.
how about this guy as a mid-round RB

Disagree with the bolded statement. I think David will go in the 2nd at the latest (Kiper actually had him at #22 in his latest mock). He would fit well on the Browns D and I would be fine with him at #37.
This does not make sense given that Tate was selected before Hardesty. Many believe that the Browns were targeting Tate and then panicked when he was selected which resulted in the trade-up for Hardesty.
would have went with Nick Perry, favorite DE in the draft and fill a position of need. with Claiborne and Perry in addition to some of the other young pieces in place, the defense would be well on its way to being a top tier unit.
Don't think Kidd-Gilchrist will fall that far but if he did it would be a no-brainer to take him over Sullinger.
Draft Express is a more highly thought of site. They currently have the Cavs picking 9th and taking Tyler Zeller. Personally I would take Bradley Beal (whom they have going 10th)...
Commitment to whom? Given that he doesn't have an offer from OSU, I doubt he will be committing to the Bucks this week. If it's to another team then you should specify.
I'm guessing they couldn't get Williams unless they were the highest bidder by a substantial margin. I really hope they don't go the Flynn route. He'd surely be an upgrade from McCoy but the question is how much. I see Flynn as having the upside of being an average starter and McCoy a...
