I'm with you, but it has been my experience that PSU fans rarely know when to insert their collective feet in their collective mouths. Don't get your hopes up.
Thanks for the input EH. I'm looking forward to this game for many reasons. I guess given your self proclaimed biggest defensive weakness of freshman safeties, how much TP progresses in the passing game over this break will be key. Given past precedence in this area, I like his chances of making...
Exactly my point..So if the B10 teams are outranked in these games and yet still being picked to face these "higher" opponents, is this a sign of respect for the B10 in a world that seems convinced by ESPN and the pundits that the conference is weak...
IMO it's not a matter of preference. Do I want us to get respect back? Yes. Would it be easier to win bowl games if we got more favorable matchups? Yes. But would those wins against lesser opponents actually get us respect? IMO the answer is no. Therefore we're back to what I said in my post...
This year the Big 10 is faced with yet another opportunity to regain some face and earn a little respect with some bowl wins. That being said, if you take a look at the matchups, the Big10 certainly doesn't get many favorable games on a ranking/perception basis. Let's assume the chalk should...
I think I misunderestimated you. I agree Snead was more highly touted out of HS but that is a separate issue I really wasn't addressing in my post. My point was McCoy went from a struggling redshirt freshman getting manhandled by a superior defense in the beginning of 06', to breaking records...
After the 06' game I thought McCoy was pretty bad albeit his Freshman year. Being so highly touted out of high school and trying to fill Young's shoes, I thought he would be lucky to even compete for a Big12 championship in his career given how good Oklahoma was expected (and turned out) to be...
For his 56th birthday local media outlets have reported that, in an effort to create an unstoppable juggernaut force, going into this years bowl game Tressel has grown a beard. Paparazzi have captured this photo:
If the shoe hosted a bowl game...
I would be in the process of shooting all the pigs flying around my house after an SEC team drives further north than the Mason Dixon. Oh and iambrutus is the greatest...ever
Two stories...
I remember sitting in my grandma's living room watching the Buckeyes play. Ken Yon Rambo ran a beautiful route and caught a deep one for six. As he was sprinting down the hash my dad looked at me and said, "That might be the fastest I have ever seen a Buckeye run." Years...
Roger that...And back to the column-If Pete wants to complain, he should take a look at his anemic defense during the OrSt game and their inability to stop an oompa loompa from running all over them. Like our buddy Spiels always says, "You win, you're in." Quit bitching Petey.
