Definitely has the build of a football player as opposed to that of a track only athlete. It sounds like the kid is very raw to say the least. Maybe bring him in as strictly an athlete and teach him a position (RB, WR, etc). Terrific size/speed combo...

Situation seems awfully similar to the Nate Szep situtation a few years ago where you have a St. Iggy QB who is getting pretty decent hype entering their senior season to not getting any DI offers and eventually going to a lower division...i figured one of the lesser MAC teams would have...
This may have already been touched on the thread...saw a infomercial the other day selling some weight machine and it was being endorsed by a pretty big bald guy by the name of Eric Lichter. Some of the stuff he was talking about in the commercial were almost identical to some of his quotes...
Since Austin is either 1 02 on most responses, he must be one helluva a player. Has OSU shown much interest or vice versa? I would think that with our depth issues at DT (Much like with Barksdale), a kid like Austin would be able to come in as a freshman and log some serious minutes...

I am all for the notion that you take as much talent as you can in that particular year, but at what point does the depth chart really start to steer a kid like Darius Ashley away?
