Actually, I need to change what I posted in reference to RB.
As of this moment, it appears as if Kevin Grady may get the nod. To jog your memories, Kevin tore his ACL in the winter of '07 and red-shirted this season. Prior reports I received indicated that Kevin looked very impressive...
Offense (12 players listed due to FB and slot WR--substitute one for the other):
QB-Steven Threet
RB-Brandon Minor ***EDIT: Kevin Grady*** see explanation in follow-up post.
FB-Mark Mondrous
LT-Perry Dorrestein
LG-Justin Boren
OG-David Molk/Mark Moosmann
RG-Steven Shilling
RT-Mark Ortmann...
Agree, all very odd. The point I keep finding myself coming back to (right or wrong) though is, "what does McNamee have to gain by lying"?
He didn't get a deal from the federal gov't (apparently) to testify against RC, so why make it up? Supposedly no book deal in place, so why make it up...

Highest priority of recruits by position for UM in '09:
1. DE
2. QB (assuming no TP in '08)
3. OL (specifically OT)
4. DT (already secured one super in Will Campbell)
5. CB/S (depending on where JT Floyd plays)
6. LB
7. WR
8. RB
UM '09 Recruiting needs (IMO)
Wheeeeew! Now that NLOID '08 is gone, what are UM's needs for '09? Here's my take:
1 QB--a super, no exceptions--if no super is available, then possibly 2 QBs will be taken.
1-2 RB
2-3 WR--at least one being a slot WR
1 TE
4-5 OL--at least three being true OTs...
Grading the class by position. Factors considered: overall talent of the individuals/group, depth, potential for growth.
QB, C+: Justin Feagin--looks like a solid athlete. Hard to make a determination in how good he will ever be. Would think he gets some PT this year, but I don't think he will...
