I was concerned VERY early in the game about Zen, I'm sure he's a good kid, and a solid program guy, but like my DC used to say, when you see a fish, you know a fish. Unfortunately he happens to play a position that isn't remotely easy to hide/scheme your way out of.
As they should, they believe in their coach and what he's doing, and it's working. Indiana struck gold with that guy. Also Indiana does have some real players. That game is not going to be a joke.
OSU can/should beat them when the time comes, starts with a strong effort this coming half.
A few thoughts...
Will Howard isn't perfect, but he's a damn good QB, thrilled he's leading this team
The weapons on this team are unfair
The offensively line significantly hampers both of the formerly mentioned. If OSU doesn't put a run together, this is likely the reason why.
Also hope we...
Consistency across an entire game would make this team incredibly difficult to beat. The OL issues make me wonder whether or not that's gonna come to fruition.
Years of recruiting misses up front coming to roost in an ugly way. Even with the portal help, a single injury basically makes the whole position group paper thin.
I have to admit, Will's deep balls scare the shit outta me sometimes. Big play, hopefully this gets the ball rolling. Hoping OSU can establish the run more and take some pressure off of Zen.
It's called being honest with an assessment, not everyone is gonna be blowing sunshine all over the place. Has nothing to do with my life or the quality of it. I'm as positive as anyone here when there's cause to be. If you don't agree, great.
Jwins, what are you referring to exactly? Legitimately just curious, I've noticed OSU hasn't had an atmosphere like that in ages. Wondering what exactly changed.
Don't you dare call Malik Harrison a liability. Browning was playing a bit out of position though, despite being pretty effective (another one you can thank LJ for btw). Hilliard should have played more in 2019.
Honestly, same man, Day actually seems like a good dude and he has by no means "crashed the Ferrari". I'm obviously rooting for the guy but the fork in the road is coming. Hoping he steps up and answers the bell.
Look, I'm not in the Fire Day camp yet, although my confidence is almost used up. That being said, there's almost no context where blowing a 4th Q double digit lead is acceptable. Especially in a game of that magnitude. If you're good enough to have a substantial lead in the 4th, you're good...
In regards to the rest of the schedule, I believe in the old saying "when a team consistently shows you what they are, you believe them".
I'm nearly 100 percent certain OSU wins out the rest of the regular season and qualifies for the Big ten cg. Lose to PSU? Not gonna happen, James Franklin...
