STX I have to agree with you there. Looking at the rosters of the teams you have mentioned they have hit Pa. hard. The Big Ten has pulled some talent from that area but not to the degree of the ACC. I stand corrected.
It's kind of a scary thought of other schools coming into what's your...
There are 11 teams, but new coaching changes at Indy, MSU, and Illinois don't make this discussion with fully or almost fully re-vamped staffs.
Tao I would have to agree with you there. Tsun has incredible talent. The staff has to know what the strengths and weaknesses of each individual...
I really think the main theme of having a solid coaching staff is, "having all coaches in the staff pulling on the oars." Do they work well as a unit.
Sometimes you interview for a job and think, "Wow, I think I will fit in pretty good with this bunch." Yet after time differeces in opinion, etc...
Many teams thrive under a coaching staff that has been in place for years. Getting acclimated to what a new coach wants and expects takes time for some players. Also a good coaching staff must work well together with no weak links. A program cannot afford to have any one person in the staff not...
Vprhis thanx for the edit portion. It is tough to say what a great player from the past could accomplish today. That's why a current NFL player (Pace) leads in this vote. (It would be hard to vote against Hicks, but I digress).
Anyway my analogy might not be a good one. But it was Liddell...
Look were comparing apples to oranges here anyway. It all boils down to THE BIGGEST IMPACT PLAYER. If you had an impact player come to tOSU today that had the impact of a Chic Your talking National Championship.
I mean this is like saying what General in Military History would you like to be...
I don't understand everyones line of thinking here. You have to have a player of impact here. How can you not have Chic Harley picked. He alone brought tOSU from mediocrity to prominice by playing on both sides of the ball. The shoe was built because of the legions of fans flocking to see him...
And what of the players that could surprise changing the play of the defense or offense this season? What if a Worthington was just too good to sit as a freshman? Or if out of the blue Mr. Frost was suddenly averaging 4 catches a game for 65 yds and a TD to boot.
Imagine
With the first kick-off of the Bucks season so far off, I find myself trying to imagine just what changes we will see on the field. Most of the time the changes are no change at all. Yet prior to past seasons we have hoped for pleasant surprises and seen them bear fruit. Ginn, Clarett...
This is just my humble opinion but I believe JT went out to other schools to open up the passing game. I believe that they are going to run a lot of pass patterns designed to pick any man-to-man coverage. Also in the same vein zone coverage will be stretched with deep patterns and receivers...
I think E. Haw just might stealing more and more carries this season from Pittman. Then again if we are going to pass more this season (taking advantage of all that WR talent) just how many carries a game will the RB spot get?
