Cavfan, I noticed you seemed a bit unsure about Beals, I really think we are all going to be pretty happy with this guy. I feel really good about this hire. Better recruiting, better schedules...i'm pretty excited!

If it's up to Beals, i'd say definitely. I don't know how much autonomy Beals will have in regards to putting together his staff, but i;d say it's a safe bet Stafford will come with. Stafford seems to have done a nice job at BSU, and he's a Buckeye so i say bring him on.

Chris Webb tweeted this earlier, but i wasnt sure if it was a done deal. A mild surprise, but not a shocker. I think most people thought he would be in the running, but i had sorta gotten locked onto Lemonis the last few days.

Not 100% certain why he has fallen from contention, but i think Strick may be a candidate for the ND job. That's just what i heard a couple days ago, so things may be different now. Lemonis or Strick would be my choices as well.

From what little i've been able to gather, i'm gonna say it's between Lemonis and Beals. FWIW, U of L people a really desperate to keep Lemonis.

yea i saw that. I think deep down Smith was my number 1 guy..oh well. Notre Dame is now hunting for a new head coach, and it will be interesting to see who they target. i'd imagine Virginia assistant Kevin McMullan will be on their list.

His/ her post sounds like something you might read in regards to football back in 2001...i think we did pretty well by not hiring a 'big name'. The tOSU brand just doesnt mean a whole lot in the world of college baseball. The job opening here hasnt created much of a buzz..and that's a fact...
