By not compete in the NCAA, did he mean banning the football team, or leaving the NCAA? if he meant leaving the NCAA, that is just stupid. No one would follow Penn State, so who would they play?

What exactly is probation in terms of these penalties? I know that the NCAA is going to monitor them for 5 years, but is that all?

At least they removed the wins from Penn State. I thought their would be a tv ban/ suspension of program. NCAA kind of wussed out.

I doubt that the Big 10 kicks Penn State out. I think they will just announce no TV for Penn State for a couple of years.

I bet most of the Penn Stater's are forgetting that the violations are just the tip of the iceberg. They still have to worry about the DOE for the clery act violations. From the Chi Tribune: It's funny how their saint will be the death of their university.
