I'm not seeing your point? Are you saying those guys are incapable of playing quality defense with appropriate coaching and scheme?

Coaching can make up for a lack of talent by making sure the schemes are appropriate and players understand their responsibility on the field. I don't see that happening in the secondary at all.

Roby basically played the entire first quarter and they didn't blitz then either. Also the pass defense stunk (with him playing) against Cal, Wisconsin, and Northwestern. IMO, while there are weak spots I don't think its a talent issue, its coaching / scheme that is the problem.
