In the midst of selling my business. Even I am shocked by the interest Im getting - it looks like it may turn into a bidding war and I may get more than my ask price.
With that in mind, Im feeling pretty good about work today.....
Agree on the 12 gauge recoil. My fiancee weighs less than 110 lbs - a 12 gauge would have put her on her behind. I taught her to shoot with a .410 semi auto. Easy peezy.
1 - You are taking gun ownership very responsibly. I am also a 2nd Amendment guy, but I also believe with that right comes significant responsibility.
2 - As someone stated above, for home protection its hard to beat a shotgun. I would suggest either a pump or a semi-auto. Probably something...
Given my business was valued yesterday at about 15% more than I thought, pretty good........
Oh how I cannot wait to pass NY compliance onto to some other poor bastard.....
Just watched The Hunger Games last night. My opinion - A bad, overly-long remake of Running Man with The Lottery thrown in. Making the Capitol resemble Nazi Germany and its inhabitants look like overindulged gluttons in clown garb was ridiculous. After I watched it, I truly felt like I wasted...
Wow. I used to work on Wall St on a bond desk, and I cant believe they're trying to move you from Euro bonds to equities. From my experience at most firms, they might as well move you to the cafeteria. Thats a huge demotion. If I were you, Id seriously think about going elsewhere.
If its...
A good friend of mine bought a 67 Shelby about 15 years ago for 50k. Car is 100% original - paint, carpet, everything. I dont know what it would take him to sell it, but it would have to be serious chunk of change.
We have some interesting car conversations. He's a Detroit muscle car...
Pretty good actually. Ive finally grown my business to the point where I can start enjoying the fruits of my labor. I opened my doors in Nov of 2008. As of last month, Im taking Mondays and Fridays off. Like, forever. At least with this business. Have to admit, its pretty nice.
What has...
Two from my Wall St days.
Often bankers had to travel, and a favorite was to sabotage the suitcase when they were getting lunch or in the mens rooms. Taking all of the clothes and replacing with OSs or prosups was common.
Another that was hysterical was to make plane reservations for a guy...
My sympathies wood. About three years ago someone broke into my VW in Queens while I was at my gf's place. I had rings from the suction cup window mount for my gps, so they figured I had one in the car. Smashed my passenger side window and got squat. Next morning, NYs finest took over two...
No -still going to Pa, but leaving a sat office in NY. Should be closing on my house in August. One of the aspects I want in the new car is a comfy long cruiser bc of the 3+ hours to NYC from where Ill be in Pa. Prob spend 5 days a week in Pa, 2 in NY, at least for the next few years. Ergo...
LJB - I have always wanted to drive the Panamera but have not had the chance yet. I may be looking for another daily driver soon - obv cannot drive a stick 911 Turbo regularly in NYC traffic. My daily driver now is a Jetta TDI, which I love, but its getting a bit long in the tooth (2005.5) so...
Besides the rennovations, I have not noticed any change at all in the pizza at Lombardis. Ive been going there for 15 years - seems the same every time.
Best pizza Ive ever had is Lombardi's in Little Italy, NYC. I believe its the oldest pizzaria in the US. Consistently the best.
In difference to everyone in Columbus, coming from the NYC metro, during my college years in Cbus I never found a decent pizza. IMO, I really think pizza is like...
