I didn't watch the game, but I'm guessing that Elly knew he was a triple shy of the cycle and was going for it no matter what. Your observations are sadly correct, though. Elly showed much better patience in ball selection to begin the season, as he said it was something he specifically...
Protesters just disrupted the ending of the Travelers Championship. Threw a few dyed powder bombs on the 18th green, including a red one near the hole, as Scottie Scheffler and Tom Kim were within 1 stroke for the win. Kim ended up making birdie, forcing the championship into a playoff hole...
Shipley just secured low amateur at the US Open, to go along with the same honor he achieved at the Masters. Great battle with the next lowest amateur - they were paired together and the TV coverage was very good covering them down the stretch.
Shipley joins Jack as the only Ohio State...

Styles make fights, and it's really interesting to see Minnesota go up against a great team with no true point guard in Denver, to a Dallas team with 2 of the most skilled point guards ever. Minnesota's extreme pressure on D is not having the same effect.
Reds win again. Elly remains hot with the bat and base running/stealing. Lodolo continues to impress, and Suter is starting to look like a real weapon out of the bullpen.
D Russ with 6 first half 3s to silence the critics and give the Lakers a big halftime lead. Needs to clean up his turnovers, but his shot is looking nice tonight.
Reds take the first 2 in the series vs the Angels. Steer and Elly each reach base 4 times tonight. Diaz looked good in getting the save. May need to re-examine the batting order soon if certain players in premium batting lineup slots don't start getting on base more often.
