"OH shit, he hit an easy ground ball to Elly with the bases loaded." On cue, Elly makes another boneheaded brain fart that dumfounds 10-year-old little leaguers. This one cost the Reds 6 runs.
And the Bears kept pretty much their whole #1 offense in in the first half according to the what the radio guys were saying over halftime. Their #1 QB played the whole half, if not mistaken.
That looked like the one where he would always sprint toward the sideline to his right and throw to the receiver by the sideline for a completion. But now that he's in the NFL he doesn't have anywhere near the speed to make it all the way to the sideline, so the only options are to throw it away...
The big bouncer to 2nd that scored the Nats' 3rd run was hit directly at India. Don't know what Candelario was thinking by going all the way over there to field it. When it was hit, I thought, "Cool, easy ground ball to India, he'll throw onto Candy, out of the inning. Nope, another boneheaded...
Where have these Reds been? The Yankees have some problems, but the Reds probably just caught them at the right time...
No NL team had swept the Yankees in Yankee Stadium in a 3- or 4-game series until the Reds this week.
I don't think the pirates 8th inning pitcher threw a single strike. Yet all we got was 3 outs and a walk. (Hahahah, I just tuned into this game in the bottom of the 8th, so I wanted to see some offense.)
Elly, use your head - he hasn't thrown a strike the entire inning! HE HASN'T THROW A STRIKE...
Skenes, currently with the Pirates (LOL), will be pitching for which of the following teams within 2 years: Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, Phillies, Padres. Place your bets.
:( This follows the same fate of his favorite conference. I was really hoping to hear him call a Buckeyes game someday.
He's now reunited with his favorite guitarist. I met him before a Phish show about 25 years ago. Very nice man. RIP Bill.
When Ford came up with 2 outs and bases loaded yesterday I knew the rally had already ended. I had never heard of that guy before he appeared as the Reds DH and have no idea how he managed to join the team. He looks like a couch potato and I'm guessing they're paying him like $8 mil. I mean...
I couldn't find Doug Worthington's thread, so I decided to use this thread. I saw his gold pants from the 2008 game on Pawn Stars today. The customer had two pairs - one of Worthington's and another from an obscure player. He got $1,000 for each pair.
We can't even count on our AD to state the obvious - that scum should be brutally punished by the NCAA. Yes, we are all looking forward to the good guys beating the crap out of them this year, but that doesn't mean they the punishment shouldn't be severe. Wouldn't have been difficult to state...
This team-wide slump they are in reminds me of 2003 when they got hammered game after game until Dave Miley was finally canned after the embarrassing games in Fenway. They are not this untalented. They might need to clean house on the coaching, training and medical staffs. Lol @ the latter 2 of...
