I think, of course, MHJr is #1. It's a helluva list and I guess arguments could be made for a few others, but I've seen them all and think #1 is clear. What I think is most interesting about this list and I love it is the #1 name on the list. I love that Hartline is legitimately on the list...
We need him next season and it will help him to show that he can be RB1 for a full season, even if they rotate Dallan in. He could be just giving scouts one more game look or he could be beta-testing what next year would look like; probably doing both, actually, I would. Hope he stays.
Again, I don't disagree with that. My point is just that he's relatively young, certainly for this job, and it's his first HC gig and it looks to me like it is starting to wear on him at a higher level and/or he's having a harder time disguising it.
I don't disagree with any of that, but I still think we're starting to see the job wear on him. Yesterday worked out, but just as easily could've gone the other way and what I saw from him concerned me. I hope I'm wrong.
I'm beginning to really consider for the first time that this job is too big for Day. I think he may be the Kyle McCord of coaches. It hurts my soul to give harbugger any credit for anything, but I think there may be some truth to the born on 3rd base comment.
I'm inclined to agree, although I'd like to see more from Frye. The rest is not quite Withers & Co., but isn't that far off. Would it not be unreasonable to assume that just like tOSU should be able to bring in 5-star recruits we should be able to bring in stud young coaches instead of...
Nothing I saw from Brown indicated to me that he was or should be the guy. They should start even from here and let's see what happens. We shouldn't have to go out and get someone else if our QB staff is what it's supposed to be.
Got to think a year in the system gives Lincoln a leg up on a transfer, assuming that their athletic ability is roughly comparable. I think Brown also gets another shot, but he's pushing uphill having not shown enough already.
