I think the point is that in 2017 if you are putting your life on alabama, you're either a crazy person or acknowledging that there's a near 50% chance you gonna die. But you're acting like you think there's an 80% chance you're gonna live.
I do. I would argue that your love for OSU has poisoned you to the point of not allowing yourself to get past the Iowa game and realize just how strongly they finished the season, and on the flip side how conditioned you've been into thinking every year Alabama is the greatest team ever. Many...
I take it you don't gamble much and realize that an early 3 point spread in Vegas means nothing. That, and if you're using a 3 point spread as an argument, that's not saying much. I'd need to see an early Vegas line of 7 to even consider that a valid argument to think Bama is much better than OSU.
If you think JT can't throw the ball, just wait for some here to see hurts throw the ball...and vs a team like Clemson who has an ELITE DL, he'll need to pass.
But not MSU, illinois, Michigan, or Wisconsin. Got it. I guess I would agree that Bama would beat OSU on a neutral field today if I stopped watching after November 4 too.
So since Bama was picked using the out of calling them unequivocally better, admitting the resume wasn't better, that basically means the committee has to hope OSU doesn't look very good against USC. For example, if OSU beats USC by 17 and Bama beats Clemson by 3, they still technically got the...
Today, OSU. In 30 days if they get much healthier, probably Bama. But the selection was based on today. If you picked Bama, you didn't watch them in November.
There truly.isnt a benefit to playing 9 conference games. Theoretically there could be, and maybe should be, but the committee clearly shows that they don't reward you for it. Therefore, if everyone isn't at 9, you are stupid not to go to 8 and fill it with an awful team.
It is too bad they didn't play. Maybe if they played 9 conference games they would have. If only something like that happens elsewhere it could have been used against them them to move to 9 conference games. But hypothetically if there are conferences who play 9 conference games, they should...
Umm, so? Did people say Wisconsin should be #1 because they couldn't control their conference schedule? Or did they say they should be #4 because they were in the weak west?
Please keep in mind that you're comparing OSU's #3 OOC opponent to bama's #4. Your logic ignores that they should absolutely have a tougher top to bottom ooc schedule than OSU since OSU absolutely has a better conference schedule.
If Bama had a quality resume I would agree. Their best win was a 2 score game against a 9-3 team that lost to Troy. OSU has 3 wins that are substantially better (psu and Wisconsin based on rankings and MSU based on margin of victory). That's the beef. If Bama had the resume of osu in 2016 you...
I think if you're a fan of the 8 team concept, you want Bama in over OSU and you want Bama to look bad vs Clemson and OSU to look good vs USC. It'd be like last year (OSU over psu) x1000. To make the arguably wrong choice within one conference is one thing. Hell, if Bama was the only team From...
