Happy to have Diallo in this weekend for a visit but lets push him out before the Wisky game starts on Sunday.
  2. Chris Holtmann (ex-tOSU Bball coach, HC at DePaul)

The difference with Purdue's talent is that they put all their skill points into shooting which as we know is a premium skill. Being able to spread the floor gives coaches all sorts of opportunities that would not be there otherwise. This roster has so many deficiencies that we will not able to...
  3. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Can't help but feel that we need turnover on this roster. We are already adding 4 new players next year so hopefully that does it. Luckily this roster has mastered turnovers.
  4. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Don't think Diallo will have much effect on KW's minutes. Kaleb is really only limited by himself (conditioning, fouls, suspensions). Either way you have to feel good about how the staff has positioned themselves with options. They have access to film and expertise to both prospects and 2020...
  5. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

I know it's a joke but it also shows how thin we are. One injury or suspension and we are playing small all game even if Young/LeDee are available. You always want the option to do either even if the small ball lineup is optimal. If the numbers ring true and Diallo reach is 7'9 and he is mobile...
  6. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Yeah, I didn't beetlejuice you in here to try push a BR marketing campaign but rather continue the debate on what is probably the most interesting dilemma surrounding our team right now, scholarship limitations. I disagree about the positional needs of our current team. While we badly need...
  7. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

I am certainly intrigued by Diallo's elite measurables but with so little footage it is hard for me to say. You would be looking for a Clint Capela like big man which is to say that he catches lobs and protects the paint. Are his feet agile enough for PnR coverage? I am not as attached to...
  8. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

I really only have interest in Mcneil or Roderick at this point. Would be fine with banking the scholarship as well.
  9. '19 OH SF Ben Roderick (Ohio Verbal)

    More highlights of Roderick
  10. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

That would explain why he is such an explosive shooter.
  11. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

What is strange about him is that he only averaged 16 his senior year of HS. Hard to find too much on him so far.
  12. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

To compare him to another white guy from Kentucky, he reminds me a bit of a bigger Braxton Beverly. Only based on the short highlights we have of him.
  13. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Really good find Buckguy. These are really impressive numbers considering the shots he is taking in the highlights.
  14. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Also is assuming that Carton is not a PG already? I think he had a stroke mid-post.
  15. '20 GA SG Brandon "BJ" Boston (Kentucky Verbal)

They are really going all in on Boston. Hopefully, we can get one of him or Morton.
  16. 2018-2019 Ohio State Men's Basketball (Official Thread)

I actually think CJ is the better ball handler but his decision making has me dreadful as of late. I imagine it will be a game to game thing considering Key has had his struggles as well. Generally, it will be a continuation of ball handling by committee with CJ, Luther, Key, and Duane.
  17. Ohio State vs. Illinois, @ United Center in Chicago, Wednesday, Dec. 5 @ 7PM, BTN

CJ has really struggled this year without KBD and Tate. Not sure he can handle a significant amount of creation.
  18. PG Desi "DJ" Carton (transfer to Marquette)

There are the highlights. Any more insights rock?
  19. Ohio State vs. Syracuse, Wednesday, Nov. 28 @ 7:15 PM, ESPN2

This does not feel like a game where Musa should play a lot.
  20. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

That is a very optimistic article imo. Beating out Duke for Boston would be a legendary win for Holtmann.
