Would Roderick really pay 100k just to play at OSU over many smaller programs? I would not count on it.
The imagery of Roderick playing on OSU's court in the video will fill nomatta's fantasies.
Rayjon Tucker from Little Rock is grad transferring as reported by Evan Daniels.
Yes, he is a wing but he is also one of the most efficient wings in the country while also owning one of the highest usage rates in the country. This will be a tough pull because everyone is going to want him but...
I am in absolute disbelief with the expectations the fanbase has for Gaffney in comparison to EJ. There is a very small chance that the general fans will be satisfied with Alonzo's first year. EJ will benefit from less expectation.
Happy for EJ.
Now this interests me. He seems to have a down year compared to his sophomore year but still interested. Off to find some tape.
EDIT: Hmmm, after looking a little deeper it seems he was absolutely dreadful against good teams. Small sample(Virginia, OSU, TCU). Impressive highlights.
I would not worry too much. He is the worst of all the wings we are recruiting. I liked him as a back up plan but his defensive effort is incredibly lackadaisical at this point. He would have needed at least a year on the bench before playing.
With coaches getting fired soon it might be a good idea if we can steal a big man.
Kai Jones, Gaffney's teammate, will probably see his potential coach Shaka Smart get fired in the next couple weeks. Wouldn't mind taking a swing because these recruits are often let free by the school.
Ben Roderick with 29/11/4 in a win against Pick Central.
The kid is doing everything he can. I tend to agree with you, Wigmon. If he was elite shooter I would say definitely but he really does not provide anything particular at a stacked position at this point. I think he will be a good player...
I have to agree with Buckguy.
Over the past two season I have consistently noticed the two concepts we have struggled most with are the press break and zone offense. You could argue that the zone offense is a personnel issue and I would not necessarily disagree but the press break should be...
I was thinking the same. This is a good chance for a MAC coach to grab a key four year piece.
In our case, he is a victim of bad timing imo. Tears his ACL and is a senior in a year where we are completely loaded recruiting wise. I personally think Ahrens is a similar but superior prospect...
Here is Roderick's last game. He has been putting up impressive numbers but its tough to see him creating in his first couple years. Something I have noticed recently is how incredibly ambidextrous he is. Finishes with both hands and is consistently able to throw one hand passes with his off-hand.
This is a tough decision. Based on the video of him I would probably pass because he seems incredibly raw at this stage. His combination of physical measurements and fluid athletic ability is incredibly tempting.
Between watching Roderick and having Diallo visit, it seems like we will take one...
I am fairly certain that he will be back for the conference tourney. This looks more and more like the Kam/Loving suspension. Stupid to be punishing kids like this over weed but that is just one man's opinion.

Sounds like if we want to wait we will be able to grab one of the centers in 2020. Probably need to take one even if Diallo commits.
There is an opportunity to take both if someone transfers, class balance be damned. If Roderick was more than marginal athlete he would be a top prospect.
There is so little film on this guy that it really makes it hard to comment on his potential beyond the obvious physical characteristics that he possess. On the little I can find, he reminds me of the archetype Syracuse big man that recruits for their zone. With no defensive three second rule in...
