If I recall, Freeman said his defensive game plan against THE was to stop the run? But the deep safeties suggest that his plan was to stop the pass???? So Day eventually obliged him by running it down his throat.
Call it ND misinformation.
So there is a chance Buckner will go down in history as interception prone. Hoping for the worst for him. Good time for Ohio State to have a complex defense. Could be time to bring the heat, while coving the TE...
I read the 11w article on cornerback depth. At first it sounded like all 6 corners were injured already? But then , per the comments, maybe one has strained calf????
Yes, if I recall the domers put up tons of points on ok state in the first half. I haven't watched it, but appreciate the explanation above. Until game 1 is over, yes I am worried
Since WI had a terrific defense (#1) last year, this looks like he is picking out stellar defensive coaches. Knowles is in that category based on his record last year. USC with Grinch is a little more of a head scratcher, but hey, we hired Grinch once. Maybe LSU doesn't work for him because of...
I am trying to think through the TV scheduling math. At some point, isn't it going to be a problem? (I usually watch games on the radio, so maybe I am missing something?)
If games are broadcast at 9 am, noon, 3pm, 6pm, and 9pm, that's 5 slots, or 10 teams. With 16 teams, 6 are not going to be...
I see he has an Alabama offer. I don't remember him having that when he came to camp a few weeks ago??? How does that work? When THE(tm) offers, then Alabama gives a non-committable offer?
I am okay with Jedi mind games. Works for me.
“Looking at coach Knowles’ playbook and how he’s going to run a defense and all that,” Reed said when asked what his favorite part of his OSU official visit was. “He has ways of getting the quarterback to hold on to the ball for that extra second...
$54 million guaranteed? That is a testimony to mom power. I remember back to 2013, with Terry saying that when Urban Meyer gave him two weeks to improve certain skills needed to get an offer, Terry took passes from his mother (and others)...
eleven warriors started calling it "broken tackles". My guess is that missed tackles (PFF term) is more accurate.

It saddens me to see Larry Johnson's contract ending in 2023. Without an extension, the upcoming season would be his last???

Since the score of the Notre Dame Spring Game was low (13-10), I believe it suggests that the ND defense is better than the ND offense. But everyone has been saying that.
I have driven there several times. I can remember two or three times wanting gas because my car was getting low, but it was very hard to find a gas station. 10 or 15 minutes of driving without an obvious gas station.
Despite all the talk about the defense being better than expected and talk about the depth of the defensive line, the safeties and corners, the sacks, and the PBUs, I am disappointed that Williams got 7 yards a carry and Pryor got 8 yards a carry.
Some say ND will have a good offensive line...
Knowles was right. He did not have 4 years to create a defense. He had 14 practices (by my count), before getting his scorecard handed to him in an offense versus defense practice #15. No mercy. No excuses. Best wishes to all.
Since Ohio State had the number one passing offense and the number 47 run offense last year, it is surprising to me to read in 11W that Dawand Jones "had the eighth-best run blocking grade in the country (90.6) last season, per Pro Football Focus, his pass blocking grade (78.8) ranked 40th in...
