Someone should ask walnut-brain Balas the following question: If the NCAA gave scUM three years probation for one Level I violation in Burgergate, how many years will scUM get for FIVE Level I violations in the Sign Stealing scandal? Including a Level I violation for scUM for its "pattern of...
Matt Hayes makes some very interesting comments in his article, which lead me to believe that he has seen the actual NOA:
EDIT: I think that Hayes has taken "facts" from the NOA and is disguising them as thinly-veiled commentary in order to satisfy his legal department.
EDIT: To clarify: The...
According to the NCAA press release on Burgergate, Harbaugh displayed "intentional disregard for NCAA legislation" and engaged in "unethical conduct":
So, lying and not cooperating with the NCAA turned some Level II violations into a Level I violation that basically got Harbaugh a lifetime ban...

Harbaugh was suspended twice during the 2023 season for a total of six games, plus a one-year suspension recruiting violations .... that's a grand total of at least 18 games. And that doesn't even include any future suspensions for the espionage scandal. Quite an impressive résumé.
Does anyone else think that the NCAA statement will read something like this:
[The out loud part]"Yes, Michigan broke the rules by stealing signs, but it's really our fault for not allowing helmet communication. We hope to do a better job in the future. Now here's your slap on the wrist."
[The...
Translation: "Ohio State has more blue chip prospects and better blue chip prospects, but Michigan's recruiting class is better because we love Michigan and hate Ohio State."
